We cannot recommend Union & Story enough! From our first conversation we could tell that Doug really cared about us, as well as making our day special and personal. He asked thoughtful questions about our relationship and incorporated those details into the ceremony in a way that felt authentic and meaningful. On the wedding day, he kept everything running smoothly and finished right at 30 minutes, which was perfect! His engaging style kept our guests entertained throughout, and we could tell they were having fun with us. We'd absolutely recommend Union & Story to any couple looking for an officiant who will bring both professionalism and personality to your ceremony.

We met Doug through our church, and from our very first conversation, we knew he was the right person to marry us… We spent about 30 minutes together talking about what marriage means to us, our relationship, and what this next chapter of life would look like. Doug asked incredibly thoughtful questions that helped him truly get to know us—not just as a couple, but as individuals. It felt natural and completely genuine. Leading up to the wedding, Doug provided a detailed wedding ceremony outline that helped us organize our thoughts, personalize the ceremony, and clearly visualize how everything would flow. It made the planning process so much easier and gave us confidence that our ceremony would truly reflect who we are. On our wedding day, Doug exceeded every expectation. As he shared the story of how Kaitlyn and I met, fell in love, and grew together, it genuinely sounded as though he had been there for every moment he described. Fist bumping at the alter
Doug spent months prepping us for marriage and somehow made ‘communication styles’ homework genuinely fun instead of the relationship-quiz nightmare we feared. He’s got a knack for dropping real wisdom right after a joke that catches you off guard, which is exactly the combo you want from someone about to bless your entire future. Our ceremony was stunning and prayerful, and at one point something he said was so perfect that my wife and I fist bumped right there at the altar — now one of our favorite photos from the day. We walked in as a couple and walked out laughing, teary, and thoroughly married — 10/10, wouldn’t want anyone else standing up there with us
