I'd like to make a quick introduction. Doorstep Diner Catering -we'd love to meet with you to chat about your reception! We are a scratch kitchen with full service and a contactless buffet. At Doorstep Diner Catering we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Sure we like working with foam and deconstructing food and ordering micro greens, but we’re not too proud to make a cheeseball shaped like a pineapple, or little pigs in a blanket. At the end of the day seeing our client's wishes and visions for their event come true is our satisfaction… Doorstep Diner Catering. Excellent service and cuisine from our Doorstep to yours!

We are Lincoln's only thematic caterer.. if you can dream it we can theme it! Rockabilly, Great Gatsby, Steampunk, Boogie Nights and more... we bring your vision to life. Casual to Elegant.. we stage your event so your guests have a fantastic experience.

Sample catered weddings

The bride called and said "we have a specific menu, can you do it?" Of course the answer was yes! She wanted 1950's retro fast food, so we created a menu featuring Chubby Checker Sliders (gourmet sliders with sharp cheddar, balsamic grilled onions and chipotle ketchup), Cheese Frenchies, Nat King Cole Slaw, Howdy Doody Tater Tots and more. She asked us to dress in Rockabilly and we went wild! What she didn't expect was how well we embraced her theme.. all menu items were named and on vinyl.. we even named a sauce after the Rockabilly band she hired and used their album cover in our decor. When a bride has an idea I am inspired- inspired to create an amazing menu that won't be forgotten, but to go the extra mile in our staging and dress.

    Great food and Easy to work with

    From our first conversation with Doorstep Diner Catering, we knew we had found the right team. Laurie was quick to respond, genuinely fun to work with, and answered every question we had in a straightforward way. The food itself was incredible (our guests couldn't stop talking about it- spinach artichoke chicken) and the team made setup and breakdown effortless on the day of our wedding. We loved that they personally plated and brought our food to us, which made the whole experience feel special and intimate. Doorstep Diner Catering gave us amazing food without the stress, and we'd recommend them to any couple planning their big day.

    Doorstep Delicious!

    We had a great experience with Doorstep Diner for our wedding. Food was delicious and they packaged all of our leftovers to take home! We did have some miscommunication over water/drinks, but they were willing to stay later in the evening to make the evening stress-free for our guests.

Yes, we offer tastings for you and a guest for a small fee. Please call Laurie at 402-432-6530 to schedule your tasting
For summer and fall weddings, we recommend at least 10 months in advance.

We can provide individual fully vegetarian or vegan menus.
For a small per person fee, we can cut and place your cake on a cake table. Additional fees apply for plated service
