    I manage a wedding venue in Oakdale, CA and Maykayla is on our preferred vendor list. Not only is her work outstanding , her communication with us as a venue and our clients is amazing. She communicates with the bride and groom on tasting and style but also communicates with us as a venue what time we would like delivery. She takes her time and is very attentive to detail to make sure everything is perfect. We love having her out at Quincy Lake Farms.

    Wedding Cake

    Working with Maykayla at Sugar Bakes & Cakes was such a joy from start to finish. She answered every question I had and made the whole planning process something I genuinely looked forward to, not stressed about. Our sweetheart cake turned out amazing—it was exactly what we wanted and tasted as good as it looked. Beyond the cake, Maykayla designed our entire dessert table in a way that felt both elegant and personal to us. The flavors were delicious and the presentation was something our guests couldn't stop talking about.     Maykayla is the best of the best!

    Working with Maykayla is always amazing. I used Maykayla for our wedding. She made a stunning cake plus a few dozen cupcakes, and even made us a special anniversary cake to freeze and enjoy a year later (family tradition). She took my loose vision and ran with it, surprising us with something that turned out even better than we imagined. Her flavors are delicious and her prices are fair for the level of talent she brings! As The Wedding Nest coordinator, I refer Maykayla to every couple I work with, and over the years she's become a genuine friend. She's handling my baby shower cake in December, and I couldn't be more confident in her work. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dessert artist who truly cares.

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your event date. Once receiving your invoice, you have a 24 hour grace period to submit your deposit and secure your date. Orders created within 14 days of your event date require payment in full.
Final payment is due 7 days before your event date.
All orders are first come, first serve. Dates are only secured once the required deposit is received with a 24 hour grace period. Inquiries, quotes, and verbal confirmations do not hold or guarantee dates.
Delivery fees are calculated based on distance and location starting at $2.50 per mile and may include a base charge for set up requirements. All tiered cakes require delivery and setup.
I recommend booking your cake anywhere between 4-8 months in advance, particularly durning peak wedding season. I accept a limited number of weddings each weekend to ensure each creation receives my full attention.
Yes! Curated tasting boxes are offered 3-4 times throughout the year, allowing couples to explore flavors.
