I’m Becky, pastry chef and owner of Flour Lane Bake Shop. My passion is creating incredible, custom desserts for special moments in your life. I specialize in making cakes, tarts, cupcakes, and other sweet treats for weddings, birthdays, baby showers, or just a really great Saturday night.

No two cakes are the same, I take my lead from you! I use your theme, colors, favorite flavors or flowers, location—whatever provides inspiration! I also use the best fresh ingredients—everything is from scratch—so your dessert is not only beautiful but tastes amazing.

    Becky is the most amazing person to work with. I had a very specific vision for my wedding and her keen eye for design and professionalism were what made her so perfect to work with. Our tasting cakes made us want more even long after the cakes were demolished. You don't get some small and over priced slices, you get the full cake experience with her mini cake boxes. There was not a single flavor we tested that was not delicious. We ended up doing 2 tasting boxes (6 flavor combinations), just to get a really good idea of what she offered. Our cake layers were split between Vanilla Cake, Passionfruit Curd, with White Chocolate Buttercream for three layers, and the bottom layer was Coconut Cake, Lime Curd, with Coconut Almond Buttercream. The cake is moist and hearty, and the Buttercream frosting is the perfect amount of sweetness. My husband who normally is not big on cake or frosting was really pleased with the way everything came together and talked about it being ready to eat it leading all the way up to the big day. As an add on we also did her gluten free brownie bites because we had a few guests that are gluten intolerant. You cannot even tell these brownies are a gluten free recipe, The richness of the brownie just melts in your mouth. We are pretty sure our guests were hiding them in their purses to take them home at the end of the night because not a single one was leftover at the end. Becky is also a master designer when it comes to the decoration. I gave her an idea of my vision with some pictures to inspire and she created something new and unique from it and utilized the cake toppers I had purchased. Her use of the different design elements we talked about made our cake fit right into our fairytale wedding. Our photographer even got photos of her setting up the cake to really show how personal she gets with the process (and she looked like she was having a really good time as well). If you are looking to make all your wedding cake dreams come true, you will not regret picking Flour Lane Bakeshop!

She took the time to review a few different style examples with us and then seamlessly merged them to create our dream cake - it was absolutely beautiful, perfect, and delicious. On the day of our wedding, her attention to detail and professionalism ensured everything was set up beautifully. Our guests raved about how amazing the desserts tasted and we can’t wait for our anniversary, when we plan to order a smaller version of our wedding cake to celebrate.     We got our cutting cake from Flour Lane and it was absolutely perfect! We went with a vintage style heart shaped cake and it turned out even better than I imagined. Not only was it the cutest cake, it also tasted incredible!! Definitely recommend working with Becky, she was so easy to work with and she makes an incredible cake!!

    My daughter's wedding took place at Heyday Farm on Bainbridge Island in July and Becky baked a dream, 3-tier wedding cake for 80 people. Not only was the cake absolutely delicious, but it was as special as the day and as beautiful as the venue - with fresh flowers thoughtfully placed on and around the cake. Becky is lovely to work with. There were so many moving parts to this wedding and it was such a relief for us to trust her expertise and professionalism that day. We were so grateful and happy!
