We hired too hot to stop for our wedding based on family references, and the service we received was not great. Bree was our DJ for the night and she was incredibly boring. She was not engaging and our photographer had to be the one to keep guests entertained and keep things moving. Nathan got our paperwork confused and argued with me that we failed to send him our grand entrance song when we did, but apparently that form wasn’t looked at. When Bree came out to introduce herself to us before the grand entrance, she didn’t mention anything about them not having the grand entrance song so instead of her asking what song we would like they just decided to pick their own. Also, Nathan asked us to send him a list of songs that weren’t already on the list of songs that they provide so we provided about 20 to 30 very special songs to us that we wanted to play for our kids and us, and none of those were played. When I had explained to Nathan about the service we were provided he got very defensive and started blaming things on me, saying that I kept leaving the ballroom which I only left once to change my dress and that we didn’t stick to the timeline because we got up to mingle with guests. I explained to him that I didn’t understand how mingling with guest would throw off the timeline because the venue was cutting up the cake at the time and there was nothing for us to do other than sit there. The guests looked bored because our DJ was boring and we decided to get up and mingle which is OUR wedding and OUR choice. He didn’t take any accountability for the lack of detail and instead just decided to blame it on us. When we met with him the first time, he seemed like a decent DJ and made himself sound like he was amazing however I think he does too many weddings in one week that he is unorganized. He called me and told me that we didn’t provide him certain details which we did, but he didn’t look over those forms. Nathan texted me a couple of days before the wedding and told me that we needed to send the song that My husband was going to dance to with his mom in which that was ONE thing that we forgot to provide on the paperwork. He also told me that we didn’t put on the paperwork what we wanted to be announced as when we walked out for the grand entrance and at the time I just thought it was something that my husband over looked, but looking back at our paperwork we did put all those details down in our paperwork but at the time doing 1 million things planning for a wedding I just thought we had forgotten when in reality he was just unorganized. He also told me that we failed to make the effort to meet him in person for the final meeting, which we called him about a week before the wedding and went over all the details and he said everything looked good. I normally don’t complain or write bad reviews, but when I went to Nathan to explain to him about our service, I was very disappointed that he tried to put all the blame on us. Even our photographer who does many weddings told us she was the worst DJ he’s ever seen. I can’t comment on the service Nathan provides since he didn’t DJ for us. I do think he does a better job than Bree based on the amazing reviews he has. However, I feel like this DJ is all about quantity instead of quality. I recommend looking for somebody else. I do not recommend this DJ, especially for weddings.

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to go with Too Hot To Stop. Nathan was our DJ and he was excellent! We had a smaller wedding and not a ton of dancers but for those of us on the dance floor he made it such a fun time. He was excellent at reading the room and switching things up when necessary. Very professional and fun!
