Meg Rodgers: Harpist

Harpist

Unforgettable and beautiful harp music for people who are passionate about quality and a memorable experience for their event. I am available for weddings, receptions, showers, cocktail hours, dinners, and other events. This platform requires vendors to buy credits to reply to couples so feel free to search me out on other sites.

I have been a professional harpist for over 20 years. I have an M.M. from Northwestern University in Harp Performance. All the best training can’t prepare you for real life. I have played in countless orchestras, events for rock stars & for children, played across the country & across the world. I have witnessed the most perfect event & have seen some major flops. What does this mean to you? When I am working for you, I bring all this experience and knowledge to your event. I can help you with planning, timing, & choosing the right music. I do what needs to be done to help make your event a success.

    Perfect!

We loved having Meg at our wedding. She was so easy to work with, had such a great energy, and had so many fantastic suggestions. We were looking for unique processional pieces and she nailed it! Many of our guests have mentioned how much they enjoyed her music during our cocktail hour as well. Highly recommend!

    A wonderful musician

Meg is not only a wonderful musician, but she is also great to work with, and very professional. There is nothing quite like harp music to elevate the atmosphere and give a wedding that peaceful and ethereal feeling. And Meg does a lovely job at providing this service to her clients.

    Lovely Music, Even Lovelier Person!

Meg has made beautiful music from maya couple at our venue, Stonegate Manor, in Benton Harbor. Trustworthy...always shows up and is ready to go when needed. Plays a wide range of music. She definitely adds understated elegance to any style wedding and her guests will enjoy her!

Generally I wear concert black unless otherwise requested
I do depending on the availability of an arrangement and time to prepare.
No, I do not attend the rehearsal. The benefit of live music is that I make the music fit you. During the rehearsal, practice walking at the pace you want to walk. I arrive at the ceremony early enough to go over cues your officiant or planner. When the processionals start, I will follow you and make the music last as long as it needs to. You just focus on having a beautiful day.
A basic ceremony includes: The prelude as guests are seated ( generally light classical or style suggested by couple) Seating of Parents ( can be prelude or a special piece) Procession of the wedding party ( can be 1 or 2 pieces) Recessional of wedding party ( 1 piece) Postlude as guests exit ( livelier music than prelude) More can be added or specified as needed.
