Freak Rangers

Keeping the musical roots of the valley alive with homespun psychedelic fun. Jay Gladden and Matt Leonard join Bradley Carr, Timbo Sims, and John McBroom to continue the journey Roanoke Valley's local band, Red Weather started in the early ‘90s.

The Freak Rangers began with the duo, Timbo Sims and John McBroom who wanted to explore the folkie side of things. Eventually, that band grew to be the 90's Roanoke band, Red Weather. Flash forward two decades to three of the founding members, John, and Bradley Carr pairing up with rhythm section, Jay Gladden and Matt Leonard. Today, Freak Rangers brings their deep rooted musical history in the valley to audiences today.

    Freak Ranger's main purpose is to entertain their audience while having a great time doing it. They bring a variety of cover music. Along with a large amount of original music that shows their talent and experience of playing music all their whole lives. They are guaranteed to have you on your feet dancing and feeling their jam.
