I’m Tibor, a solo DJ and MC based in Cumming. I’ve been doing weddings across North Georgia for over five years now - 50+ of them, at 30+ venues. I’m an open-format DJ, which in practice means I’d rather read the room than run one genre all night. I take your must-play list and your do-not-play list seriously, then pay attention to what’s actually working once people are on the floor. Communication matters to me as much as the music. I answer quickly, I’ll tell you plainly if I think something won’t work, and you won’t be left wondering what happens next. I also sing, and I host karaoke regularly at bars and restaurants around North Georgia - which occasionally finds its way into a reception.

One flat rate, and it covers everything. $1,200 includes ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, MC duties, uplighting, dance floor lighting, wireless mics and a lighted booth. No per-item extras and no clock running - I stay as long as you need me. I’ve probably already played your venue. 30+ around North Georgia, five in Dahlonega alone. Knowing a room in advance means I know where the power is, how it sounds once it’s full of people, and how long load-in actually takes. Karaoke, if you want it. I host it regularly, so I can bring the whole setup to your reception. Entirely optional - but it tends to be what guests talk about afterwards.

    October Wedding

    My husband and I recently got married and we hired DJ Tibor to do our wedding and be our MC. We could not have picked a better DJ to work with. From the first inquiry all the way to the end of the night he was a pleasure. He was very quick and responsive to all our questions and requests. He provided a detailed questionnaire prior to the wedding with just about everything he would need to know for a wedding. I would highly recommend DJ Tibor to anyone looking for a DJ who can do it all, because he certainly can! :)

    Brunch wedding disco

    We had DJ Tibor for our wedding reception and couldn't have asked for a better choice.     AMAZING

    DJ Tibor was absolutely AMAZING! He helped out so much pre-wedding day with the timeline and helping us figure out which important things needed to be highlighted. At the ceremony he made sure everything was perfect and the reception was better than I ever could have imagined. He kept the energy up and played the perfect songs at the perfect times. Everyone had a great time and he even included a great special song for us ( super fun touch!). He was incredibly professional throughout the entire process, always communicating quickly, showed up early to make sure everything was perfect before we got started, even added some of his own light to our decorations for us which was really nice. Highly recommend! If we have any other parties where a DJ would be needed, he is DEFINITELY who we will call!

    Absolutely Wonderful to Work With!

    DJ Tibor was awesome from the very first email I sent to him! He responded the very same night and the planning process with him was nothing but smooth from there. We found him to be quick, thorough and detailed in his communication style, and his pre-wedding questionnaire ensured that we were all on the same page for the wedding day. He chose songs that fit with our requests and kept the dance floor going with a great mix of music that got all our guests up and moving. He even surprised us with a special song that included our names that was absolutely hilarious! DJ Tibor truly helped make our wedding day special and we highly recommend him to any couple looking for an energetic and professional DJ.

I like to arrive 2 hours before the event starts. I'm usually done setting up in 1 hour but prefer to give myself enough extra time.

I'm an open format DJ, which means that I play all music genres. I usually don't play long sets of similar sounding songs. I like to play music to all ages and music tastes to keep everybody entertained. I also use the microphone in between songs to keep the crowds excited.
Yes, I do. The contract that I provide can be signed online.
I charge one low price. I only charge additional fees for requests that requires me to spend extra time or money. Any additional fee will only be charged if it was previously agreed upon.
Yes, I always carry backup equipment with me.
Absolutely. I will send out a wedding questionnaire after booking that couples can fill out. This questionnaire includes requests for songs you want me to play, also types of songs you do not want at your wedding.
Couples can specify if they want guest requests at the reception or not. If guest requests are allowed I have a huge collection of songs on my hard drive, I also use streaming services. Couples can also specify what type of song request should be declined.

No, I don't. There are providers specializing in those services that you can hire.
In some cases I can be booked almost last minute, 1 month or more is recommended. I can also be booked more than a year ahead.
I normally cover areas within a 1 hour drive from ZIP code 30041 (Forsyth county, GA). However I would consider farther weddings as well. Contact me with details.
I wear the attire the client requests. For weddings normally a suit and tie or bow tie. I also like to wear a fedora if it's OK with the client.
I am familiar with a lot of different cultures from around the world. If you have any specific requests, I'd be glad to work with you, do some research and prepare songs and traditions for your wedding.

I will send you a short questionnaire for basic information about the wedding. Using that information I draft up a contract. If everything looks good on the contract the person(s) responsible for the booking can sign it online. After I receive the signed contract I request a 30% non-refundable booking fee. Once I receive the booking fee, the date for the wedding will be locked in on my calendar. After that I send out a long questionnaire with all the details that I need to get prepared. I request the long questionnaire to be completed no later than 30 days before the wedding.
My wedding service is not limited by any amount of hours. If I'm hired, you have me for the entire length of the event. Most often the length of the event will be limited by the closing time of the venue.
