Brink Productions is a Black Hills event production company specializing in professional audio, lighting, and technical direction for weddings and live events. We bring the full production experience — not just a DJ, but a team that makes sure everything sounds right, looks right, and runs smoothly from the first song to the last dance. Based in Rapid City, we serve couples across western South Dakota, Wyoming, and Nebraska.

Most couples hire a DJ and hope the audio works out. We take a different approach — we treat your wedding like a produced event. That means professional-grade sound equipment, choreographed lighting, and a technical director on-site who owns the outcome of your day. We come from a background in live production and church AV, which means we've handled high-pressure live events where things have to work the first time. Your wedding gets that same standard.

We're an event production company that also provides DJ services. That means you get professional audio systems, wireless microphones, lighting, and a DJ all from one team. No coordinating between separate vendors — we handle the music and the technical production so your day sounds and looks exactly right from ceremony to last dance.
We typically arrive 2-3 hours before your event start time to ensure everything is tested and ready before guests arrive. For larger setups with truss and expanded lighting we may arrive earlier. We never rush setup — your event runs smoothly because we prepare thoroughly.
We dress professionally for every event. For weddings we typically wear all black unless the couple requests otherwise. We're there to support your day, not stand out in your photos.
Absolutely. We work with couples before the wedding to build a playlist that fits their vision, and we're happy to take requests from guests during the reception. We also take do-not-play lists seriously, if you don't want it played, it won't be played.
We serve couples within 60 miles of Rapid City at no additional travel charge. Events beyond that range may include a travel fee based on distance. Breakdown and load-out is always included in our package pricing — no hidden fees.
Yes, both. Lighting is a core part of what we do, including dance floor lighting, truss systems, and full lighting packages. We also offer photo booth rentals to add a fun, interactive element to your reception. Ask us about bundling a photo booth with any of our production packages.
