Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

5.0

Oklahoma City, OK
  • Serves Zion, IL

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

The Faux Bouquets

5.0

Redlands, CA
  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Zion, IL

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

I sent my photo inspirations and they were quick to respond and quick to create my vision of what I wanted. The flowers, corsages, and boutonnières looked amazing and realistic.

Alison with Bloom Culture really puts SO much work into making the DIY process as easy as possible! Her YouTube videos and DIY proposal guides are extremely detailed, and it was honestly a blast to put together my own florals for my wedding. I got a group of friends together and we all built the bouquets/boutonnieres/etc two days before the wedding, and it was so much fun! I got to make everything exactly the way I envisioned, and the flowers turned out sooooo beautiful! Such a great experience!

Flora Elements

5.0

Delafield, WI
  • Starts at $800
  • Serves Zion, IL

I have been in the floral business for over 20 years and seeing a wedding come together and the final photos is still one of my favorite parts of this industry. I also completely geek out on purchasing flowers and learning from my local flower farmers. Being a florist is not a job it's my life's passion and watching the trends circle back has been very entertaining!

Lisa is so incredibly talented! From the moment I told her my vision she blew me away with her ideas and immediately understood what I was trying to capture. Her eye for design and creativity with color is outstanding and I wish she lived closer to Chicago so I could have her do events for us all of the time. Our wedding was a dream and the moment everyone walked into our reception our jaws dropped with how gorgeous the room and flowers were. She had completely transformed the space. Do not miss the opportunity to work with Lisa you will not be disappointed!

Petal Station

5.0

Naperville, IL
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Zion, IL

Since 2001, Petal Station (formerly known as Trudy’s Flowers and BouqBox) has proudly served the local communities in the Greater Chicago region. We only source the best and freshest blooms and greens to produce the most elegant floral arrangements for our customers.

We reached out to Petal Station for our wedding after seeing their beautiful work at my brother's wedding. We worked with Jocelyn, who was very engaged from early on and frequently checked in with us as we progressed to the wedding date to make sure that their preparations were matching our vision and budget. The centerpieces, garlands, and bouquets were all very high quality, fresh and beautiful. More than a month later my bouquet, though dried, still smells lovely. Jocelyn skillfully interpreted our vague ideas about color scheme and style into cherished elements of our wedding day. I highly recommend working with Jocelyn and Petal Station!

Larkspur & Leo Artisan Floral Design

5.0

Antioch, IL

Hi, I'm Andrea, I love flowers and I would LOVE to be your special event floral designer! My style may be considered garden-inspired, a little bit bohemian, sometimes rustic, yet clean and focused. I love working with unique and unusual florals and foliage as much as possible, as well as interesting color palettes. It's quite common for me to not have a clue what style of design I'm making until I'm finished with it... for me, designing is very much "in the moment".

Andrea was my florist/decorator for my wedding 9/30/23 and everything was perfect! The florals were jaw-dropping beautiful!! The bouquets, garlands, and centerpieces were all gorgeous. Andrea even helped pin on the boutonnières. She also put together my seating chart in alphabetical order. I’ll update with our professional pictures once we get them! Andrea is prompt with communication, works to truly understand your vision, sticks close to budget, and is very personable.

Aster and Bramble did such an amazing job with my wedding! The flowers were even more beautiful than I had hoped. Some of the flowers I had in mind were not in season, (my wedding was in February) so I chose to leave it up to the designers to pick other flowers that would go with my theme and colors. They did not disappoint!

I did a lot of research prior to picking a florist for our wedding. After talking to Jessica about my hopes and vision for our wedding flowers, and seeing her proposal, I knew she was the florist for us!! The flowers for our wedding were GORGEOUS! We got so many compliments on how beautiful every bouquet, bout, and centerpiece was. On top of ordering and creating everything for our wedding day, my mother in law called Jessica the week of our wedding to see if she could make centerpieces for our rehearsal dinner (there was last minute drama with the original florist my MIL chose). Jessica amazingly said no problem, and created beautiful Tuscan themed center pieces for our wine cellar rehearsal dinner. I HIGHLY recommend Anemone Creative for your floral and centerpiece needs. You will get beautifully designed pieces and work with an incredibly talented floral designer who can make your vision come to life!

    Vrinspirations

    5.0

    Evanston, IL
    • Starts at $55 per arrangement
    • Serves Zion, IL

We are a family business, everything started 2019. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management and I enjoy the process of planning events, decorations, scheduling, and timelines. I worked in the hotel business for almost 10 years until I realized that I wanted to start working in what I love and I'm passionate about. That's how I decided to open my own company!

If I could give Lori from VRInspirations more than 5 stars for this review, I would! I came to Lori in April 2021 with a set date of 8/15/21, a venue, and a list of potential vendors. I knew that this would be a tough wedding to plan given the crazily short timeline (in the wedding planning world) in addition to the fact that I am a very picky person who has been planning my wedding in my head for years. Furthermore, I was planning this wedding in my hometown of Chicago while living in Seattle. I will be forever grateful that Lori took my wedding on without hesitation. If you are looking for a planner who will always make you feel like you are her only client, then Lori is the one for you. She never made me feel like I was bothering her and she answered any emails/frantic phone calls promptly and with a smile. She has so many contacts in the the Chicago wedding vendor community, and anytime Lori said, "No worries, I will take care of it", I knew that she would. She is so kind, friendly, and easy going, and even when I was going crazy toward the end of the process, she always remained calm and cool under pressure. She is such a thoughtful planner, and it was such a sweet surprise for me when she joined me at my dress fittings. She is incredibly organized and you can tell that her years of experience have taught her how to plan events seamlessly and efficiently. Lori truly cares about her brides and only wants the best for you, and you can feel it! Her husband/business partner John is also awesome, and they are an amazing team to have by your side. I sent her so many inspiration photos and ideas and she truly brought my dream wedding to life. I recommend Lori and the VRInspirations team without any reservations for your wedding or any special event; she will put all of her heart and soul into making it the best day of your life. I am so lucky to have found Lori and feel like I have made a friend for life.
