I became interested in the floral industry when I made my florals for my own wedding in 2019. I spent a year and a half working at walter knoll florists, learning from some of the best. Since then ive done lots of work for friends and family and am looking to expand my business. I am extremely passionate about creating unique florals that reflect your personality for you big day.

I'm a born-and-raised Missourian (where did you go to high school?) and a mom to our four-year-old little boy, a baby girl, and one boxer/pit mix named Grizzly. I'm married to my high school sweetheart, but we've known each other since Kindergarten! Before I started working with flowers I went to the Conservatory of Music in Kansas City to study voice. After having our son, I found that I needed a creative outlet and started working with flowers during his nap time and in the evenings. I soon discovered that I loved all of the textures, colors, and the way flowers could bring a smile to someone's face, and Serendipity Floral Design was born!

RosAmungThorns Floral and Gift was established in May of 2013 as Springfield’s premier local flower shop. We are also known as the home of the lady bug! You may be wondering by now about the unusual spelling of the company name. It is not a typo – in fact, my grandpa used to call me “the rose among thorns.” When I opened my first email account, I wanted to honor that, but the correct spelling was taken. Therefore, “RosAmungThorns” was the obvious next choice! So, when I opened up my own flower shop, it was an easy transfer of my brand.
