In 2016, Cedar Grove’s owners, Kevin and Julie Claus, were sitting on the porch of Stillwater Lodge with some friends, gazing upon their 65-acre property. With 6 cabins and 2 lodges running smoothly, it was time to start planning for their next adventure. They talked about their 3 children growing up on the property, and reminisced on how so many milestones were celebrated. With all their kids growing up, they talked about them finding love and how wonderful it would be to see them married on the property where they shared so many memories. That was the day the dream began! Kevin quickly grabbed a napkin and feverishly started scribbling sketches of a large lodge that could hold all of their friends and family, celebrating the futures of their children. In true Claus fashion, they did not let this vision pass them by, and got to working on the lodge right away.

Edison Venues first opened in August of 2020. This sparkling new building is the event space for Edison Brewing Company. On the Edison campus you will be able to enjoy your experience from above in the event space and below at the brewery. In 1912, the Athletic Club of Columbus was founded by a group of business professionals interested in promoting both social and athletic endeavors. The Club’s first President was Henry J. Booth. In early 1913, the already prominent Ohio Club merged with the ACC and the first clubhouse was headquartered in The Columbus Saving & Trust Building (now known as The Atlas Building.) Plans were immediately launched for the new home of the ACC on Broad Street. Our current six-story brick clubhouse, an example of Spanish Renaissance Revival with Italian influence, was designed by Richards, McCarty & Bulford with Frank L. Packard as Advisory Architect. The building was dedicated in 1915, to much fanfare and the facade has seen very little change since its opening. In early October 2011, just in time for the Club's Centennial celebrations in 2012, the Club was officially named to the National Register of Historic Places.

Our history: The Friesian Empire Events Center was originally founded in 2002 and formerly known as The Friesian Empire and Equine Center. It was described as the largest Equestrian Facility in Franklin County. Horse enthusiasts flew in from around the world for horse Shows, clinics, auctions and Friesian horse inspections. The owner wanted to expand the facility to something that could include more than just horse owners, but people who appreciate the serene setting of a horse farm for their special event. The conversion process has taken over years to complete. The owner was able to keep the essence of the horse farm but with the feel of an elite and unique events center. Our property has nearly 50 very scenic and wooded acres with 2 large ponds. Our venue consists of approximately 42,000 SF of indoor entertainment areas, not to mention the outdoor entertainment areas! We are equipped and permitted to hold events that include up to 1,888 people (total interior occupancy).
