Located on the corner of Ridge and Plain streets in La Porte, Indiana, the La Porte Civic Auditorium is a highlight of the City of La Porte and the La Porte Park and Recreation Department. This beautiful, regal building was a gift to the City of La Porte from a local philanthropist, Maurice Fox of the Fox Woolen Mills, in honor of his parents. The stipulation of this gift was that the building be made available to all individuals, Civic and educational groups or bodies. The Civic Auditorium was dedicated on March 19, 1930, and has since hosted thousands of regional and community events. These events have included everything from athletic contests to organizational conferences, trade shows to family weddings and charitable concerts to stage plays. Each unique and each a celebration in its own right. Renovated in recent years to accommodate new events and needs, the historical integrity of this beautiful building remains to shine bright.

The barn is a unique and rustic venue that sits in the middle of 200 acres of Christmas Tree Farm and wooded area. Our Bar/Kitchen, Food Court, Bridal Suite, Open Patio and Restrooms make up our ‘little village type area’. The Crow and Calico Tavern at Crozehead Cooperage is a truly unique venue. Set on the backdrop of the oldest farm in Monee, built in 1864, we are the only cooperage in Illinois and one of only 28 in the US. We are 2023 honorees of the IL Bureau of Tourism 'Illinois Makers' award. With over 5 acres, including 2 acres of woodland, a nature trail and a scenic pond, it lends itself to a fairy tale atmosphere. The Crow and Calico Tavern is a quaint and cozy premium whiskey bar with a European feel. A biergarten provides 750 square feet of covered space and includes use of our high tables and fest tables if desired. A furnished side patio provides an ideal spot for a cigar and bourbon! Furnished alcoves along our woodline with fire pits to light the night sky and warm guests souls. We provide a furnished 20 x 30 cocktail tent and outdoor bar. The price includes 2 bartenders for 8 hours as well as an on-site cooper to provide barrel crafting demonstrations and tours at your guests leisure.

The Majestic theatre is one of the largest Vaudeville theatre’s in Chicago-land and oldest in the United States, will re-open in late 2010 as a multi-purpose venue. The theatre being equipped with hi-end technology capabilities will not only host Wedding ceremonies, receptions, concerts, fashion shows, business seminars, pageants and proms but just about any venue the mind could develop. The Willowhaven Nature Park is a restored 1900's barn that transforms into a spectacular location to host graduation parties, small weddings, bridal or baby showers, family gatherings, or business retreat. Large room with tables and chairs is available at limited times and the facility can accommodate up to 95 guests*. Alcohol is permitted with proper permit and additional fees. Willowhaven park also has outdoor rentals available at our amphitheater, gardens and picnic pavilion.
