I started my music education at 8 years old, starting with private piano lessons that spanned 12 years.. leading to a BA in Vocal Performance from Wayne State University, and study abroad in Rome, Italy. Dave Lawson is an experienced, reliable and professional Detroit vinyl DJ. Since 2010, he has created the soundtrack to countless corporate events, fundraisers, weddings, and private parties in the Midwest. The music and setup are tailored to each event based on the occasion and audience. Dave plays mostly vinyl records from his personal collection, but he can also play any request digitally. He specializes in feel-good Motown and R&B, but his collection includes a vast variety of other genres. Basically, Dave has a LOT of records and caters the music to your event. Dave is also a musician, producer and communications consultant.
