My love of art and nature have led me to where i am today. I thrive when I can create and to be able to make a work of art with flowers, truly brings me a great joy. I want to bring your visions to reality through flowers on your special day or exciting events. Over my years of training in both traditional art and floral design I have developed my own personal style that is anything but traditional, but more so unique- just like all of us. Perla, which is French for pearl, was my Grandmothers name, is my middle name, and the name I give to my passion I hope to share with you.

My passion lies in crafting diverse creations, spanning from floral arrangements and event setups to rental displays and event styling & coordination. I specialize in unique crafting and preserving floral arrangements, as well as designing both interior and exterior event spaces. My expertise also extends to staffing and ensuring flawless execution. I enjoy harnessing my unconventional creativity to breathe life into your events.

I have been flowering for 15 years, growing and learning from the very best. Manhattan to Montauk (and beyond), I have experience slingin’ flowers in just about every setting you can imagine. I have seen many cycles of trends and witnessed so many changes in both the wedding and floral industry. Years of experience gives me the ability to know exactly where flowers belong best. Where will guests interact with flowers the most? Can we re-purpose the ceremony? I will help navigate the details that matter to you most.

Having grown up running around the lush acres of my family's bountiful nursery, I was born with a love and interest in flowers and plants. This developed into a passion for beauty and Art, which I studied then worked at for 15 years in NYC and The Hamptons. After soaking up all I could of the NYC floral industry, I returned to my home town of East Hampton to continue to grow by starting my own business, Anchor & Bloom. My passion is creating beauty by turning natures flowers into art, meeting clients visions, and bringing their floral dreams to life.

She has worked anywhere from floral art installations, everyday retail, weddings, public relations, corporate events and the list goes on. After years of working for others, Nicole has created a business of her own. Fully dedicated in her design, she strives to make the best experience for her clients.

Wood & Word Blooms is run by a Jen Angle, former teacher of 20+ years and specializes in using hand-painted wood flowers along with a faux, dried and preserved florals (nothing fresh here) to bring your wedding vision to life not just for that one glorious day but forever. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.
