Steining Stems
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
  • Starts at $500
  • Serves Troy, PA

Hi, I’m Heather, the heart behind the flowers. What started as a love for beautiful blooms quickly grew into a passion for creating arrangements that bring joy, comfort, and connection to everyday moments. Each arrangement is thoughtfully designed with fresh, seasonal flowers and a creative eye for color, texture, and movement. Whether it’s a simple bouquet to brighten someone’s day or flowers for a meaningful celebration, my goal is to create designs that feel natural, beautiful, and full of life. Helping people celebrate, comfort, and surprise one another through flowers is truly the best part of what I do.

Working with Steining Stems was a game-changer. From our first conversation, they responded quickly to every question and gave us honest advice about what would work best for our vision. The florals they created were absolutely stunning—every arrangement showcased their attention to detail and design expertise. What impressed us most was how fresh and vibrant the flowers stayed throughout the entire event, which really speaks to the quality of their materials and care. Their pieces weren't just beautiful; they were built to last and added that special touch we'd been hoping for. We'd recommend them without hesitation to any couple looking for florals that truly deliver.

We loved using Something Borrowed Blooms for our wedding flowers. We used them for my bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, and extra flower bunches to decorate around our venue, and everything turned out beautifully. I even purchased my bridal bouquet so I could display it forever, and it still looks just as stunning. Everyone kept commenting on how realistic and well put together the flowers looked, even more so than some real flower arrangements we’ve seen. It was such a relief not to have to worry about keeping anything in water or paying the high price of fresh florals. The flowers arrived at our venue a few days early, and the return process afterward was incredibly easy. I would recommend Something Borrowed Blooms to any bride who wants a beautiful, stress-free floral option!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.8 (100 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Troy, PA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
We used the “Full Monty” package for our wedding and DIY-ed all our florals. Our florist, Hattie, did a great job listening to our vision and responded to all of our questions quickly! We explored options together, and she was able to help us get so much more than we would have with a florist and with the exact color palette we were looking at. Neither of us are great at design/DIY, but we felt very supported by the plethora of tutorials, recipes, and videos to create our flowers. With our florals, we made 6 pillar arrangements, 2 bridal bouquets, 8 bridesmaid bouquets, 3 corsages, a boutonniere, 2 medium centerpieces, and close to 100 bud vases. My maid of honor made my bridal bouquet, which made it even more special than it would have if a florist had made it. The flowers arrived at our AirBnb without any issues, and we lost barely any florals! I will say if DIY-ing flowers, whether with Flower Moxie or not, make sure you have people to help - especially with getting the florals out of the wrapping, in buckets, and cutting stems. We had our crews help, and it still looked overwhelming at first, so I can see how it can be stressful. We had our day-of-coordinator set everything up florals-wise on our wedding day, and everything looked GORGEOUS. If you have the people to help and are looking for more florals for less money, we would definitely recommend DIY-ing with flower moxie

Woodland Floral Design Co.
Rating: 5.0 (78 reviews)

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

Misha is incredible! Wedding florals can be so daunting, but from our first Zoom meeting, all of my worries were gone. It was clear Misha genuinely enjoys making a personal connection with her clients. She checked in periodically and was available whenever we had questions. I knew Misha was going to create something beautiful, but beautiful is an UNDERSTATEMENT. Our wedding florals were stunning. I told Misha I wanted bright and fun, but that was really it. As a result of our conversations, I knew I could trust her vision and creativity. She blew us away! As soon as I saw them, my jaw dropped. She created 2 floral columns for the ceremony space and lined the aisle with the most magnificent florals. And when I say florals, I mean florals. Her designs are teeming with blooms! Everything down to the bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages was full of substance. She also created the most amazing couch installation for one of our lounge areas that was the backdrop for one of our favorite pictures. Every guest at our wedding made a comment about the florals being exquisite, and we could not agree more. Misha was then able to repurpose all of the florals from the ceremony space to the reception space as centerpieces for the tables and decoration for the sweetheart table. I will never get over how absolutely perfect the florals were on our wedding day. Misha has a gift, and anyone getting married should 100 percent work with her as their florist.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

The Faux Bouquets was a fantastic florist to work with for our wedding. They had a straightforward, welcoming, and responsive communication style that made the entire process easy and stress-free. Their floral designs were elegant, affordable, and fully customizable to our preferences. They created a beautiful customized bouquet for my wife's bridal flowers and an elegant arch for our wedding ceremony. They even made last-minute adjustments to ensure we had the best possible designs. All of this was provided at an amazing price, and they even gave us a discount for being a local wedding. We highly recommend The Faux Bouquets to any couple planning their big day.

Gilly's Lilies LLC
Rating: 5.0 (18 reviews)
·Ratings include Zola and Google reviews
  • Starts at $500
  • Serves Troy, PA

Sarah immigrated from rural North-West UK, where her family operated several successful flower shops. She moved to Central PA in 2017 with her husband, Ben, who teaches Mechanical Engineering at Bucknell University. After establishing her business stateside, Gilly’s Lilies truly took off during the pandemic. Relocating from her home studio to Mifflinburg allowed for significant growth, including the expansion into larger-scale operations like Helix Hall, which now hosts Afternoon Teas and special events.

I had a great experience with Gilly's Lilies. It is a locally-owned floral shop that offered creative and unique floral arrangements. The staff was very accommodating and helped to merge my vision with actual, fresh flowers. Highly recommended!

Their work was absolutely beautiful - the flowers were fresh and high quality, and they helped us get the exact designs we wanted. Once my wedding date got closer, they became very responsive and helpful, even pitching in to help with other areas when things were running late. They were punctual on the day, had everything set up perfectly, and even took some great photos and videos that we'll cherish. The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!

My husband and I decided to have an intimate micro-wedding with 12 other people in June of 2024, and organized just about everything ourselves, including the flowers. As part of the planning process, we sought out a preservation artist who could freeze this element of our wedding forever in time. I found Jackie of Evergreen Botanical Studio and her 3-D preservation style matched exactly what I was looking for, so we booked our date with her as soon as we could. She was the PERFECT choice. She took my crazy wild bouquet, my grandmother’s handkerchiefs that wrapped the stems, all the extra flowers from the arrangements, and even some delphinium from her own garden (because she's such an angel and took pity on me that mine didn’t quite survive), and created a work of art that takes me directly back to my wedding day and reminds me of all the amazingness that unfolded. AND she crafted the most wonderful little memento for my Mom, that was completed in time to gift for her 50th wedding anniversary, just months after our event. Jackie was so easy to work with, providing detailed instructions for packaging and shipping the flowers from the Midwest, eased my worry by confirming as soon as she received them, and gave a timeline and explanation of how the whole preservation process works. It seems like magic that the flowers in the finished product look just as they did on the day of our wedding. There is something extra special about the care and artistry that she applies to each and every project she works on. You can feel the passion for her craft shining through, from the vibrant colors and clever composition to the expertly homemade frames. This was an important part of our wedding budget, and we are so glad we made the investment, not only as an extra special keepsake but also to support a fellow artist and small business owner. You won’t be disappointed making the same choice!

My passion for flowers and plants started when I was a child. Growing up in the middle of nowhere was the best thing to allow my imagination to flourish. The school day would end and I would be rushing off the bus to help my grandparents plant seedlings or pick the harvest from the garden. My parents had flower beds and brought the beautiful flowers inside to enjoy as well. I am passionate about being able to replicate flower gardens into a gorgeous design but also creating a unique design just for your day!

Flowers and Friends is hands down the best florist. Melissa is extremely friendly, patient, and kind. She worked with me to plan out all of the details for my wedding day, answered all my questions about what different types of flowers would look like, and even helped me to pick out coordinating linen colors. She has such a natural talent for floral arrangements and everything she creates is absolutely gorgeous. My wedding flowers were perfect and more beautiful than I could have imagined. Melissa took my ideas and ran with them, creating unique and beautiful arrangements. She even thought of small details like drying the stems of our bouquets and providing extra vases to display the bouquets at the reception. Lovesome Farm is a queer-owned and operated flower farm and design studio nestled in the hills of Sullivan County. We grow sustainable, pollinator-friendly blooms, on our 8-acre property and design bespoke wedding florals.

Working with Lovesome Farm was a joy from start to finish. The vision I had for our wedding florals was definitely a tall order. We wanted a meadow of wild flowers tall and lush surrounding us and Lovesome met and exceeded our expectations! Between the floor installation and the table arrangements it felt both naturalistic and also out of this world! It was a true floral dream come true. Working with Madeleine was also a breeze - she had great suggestions and kept it easy for us to digest all the information at the same time. Whether you have a strong vision like we did or need guidance on creating the design of your dreams I would without a doubt recommend Lovesome Farm!

Located in York, PA, Blossom Bliss is a homegrown floral design company run by Kristen Adams. Specializing in unique floral installations + wedding day florals, Kristen and her team bring artistry and a fresh, organic style to your special events.

Kristen and the entire team at Blossom Bliss are incredible. Even from the very first intro call, Kristen's expertise, passion and kindness were apparent – and that remained true throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was responsive and worked closely with us to make sure our proposal was exactly what we wanted it to be. But most importantly, the way Kristen and her team brought our vision to life on our wedding day left us absolutely speechless (literally had no words when we first saw the reception space). The arrangements that she created were stunning, BEYOND anything that we even envisioned. Her work really pulled the entire event together, and so many guests commented on the incredible tablescapes as well. Also, I love that Blossom Bliss donates all remaining flowers (I believe they go to nursing homes and/or local hospitals if I'm remembering correctly). Knowing that the flowers were going to put a smile on someone else's face, rather than get thrown away after the wedding, brought a lot of joy. I highly, highly, highly recommend hiring Blossom Bliss for your event. You will not be disappointed!
