We had a destination wedding on the new Disney cruise ship, the Wish, and while it was an amazing time there were definitely challenges to planning a destination wedding at a brand new venue that we couldn't see until the wedding trip itself. Mikkel has a strong network of contacts in the industry that kept her informed of the ship and logistics and she ended up being more helpful to us than our Disney wedding coordinator! She checked in multiple times throughout our wedding planning on photography things such as the timeline, but also helped in providing her opinion on things like the bridesmaid dresses, the locations for the first look, and was generally helpful with her wealth of knowledge of Disney Cruise Line weddings to bounce ideas off of. Her pictures were INCREDIBLE! The quality, coloring, angles, lighting, everything about them is absolutely perfect. But most importantly, she is such a warm and happy person to work with that we felt incredibly comfortable posing in front of her for hours on end! We also had the luxury of her husband helping us a bit too and they were such a team, working together in the hot Bahamian sun quickly and effectively without even needing to direct each other most of the time to maximize how many pictures we could get before the sweat ruined our dress/suit/hair! Another attribute of Mikkel's that's worth mentioning is her flexibility. We took pictures with her the days before and after our wedding in addition to the big day, and our plan and timeline for the full weekend was completely in flux due to the chaos of our venue. If that caused issues for Mikkel, we never knew as she was upbeat and positive and leaned into every challenge that came our way. Honestly I could go on and on about her, she's exactly who we needed for our wedding and I am so grateful that we found her. If you are considering Mikkel, stop thinking about it and just book her - you won't regret it!”
