“Beth and Chris are truly the heart and soul of what made our wedding so special. From the moment we booked our venue last December to our wedding day in June, they made everything feel effortless, personal, and full of warmth. Both are incredibly kind, organized, and attentive—always going above and beyond to make sure every detail was just right. Their team did a flawless job bringing our vision to life; every photo, décor piece, and little touch was placed perfectly. We especially loved how thoughtful they were in allowing our sweet pup, Hershey, to be part of our pictures outside the venue—it meant so much to us! The entire day flowed beautifully, our guests had the best time, and everything was coordinated to perfection. We are endlessly grateful to Beth and Chris for making our wedding day as magical and memorable as we had always dreamed.”

“We love Lone Star Oaks!!! Mary and Janna are amazing partners and are extremely responsive. They have a decorations closet with items from past weddings so you don’t have to spend really any money on decorations. They are flexible and allow food trucks (we did Mandolas Mobile Pizza oven for apps and Chuys for dinner, and they both worked out great!). I even had my horse in my wedding! The venue is gorgeous, all of our guests were amazed. I’d call it “rustic chic”. We couldn’t be happier to be married in such a beautiful place. The venue is further out there so you will want to either have guests drive or organize a shuttle from your host hotel (ours was Sheraton in Georgetown). We had a great experience with Keyshaun from Keys Shuttles Inc and Fly-Rites will go there too!”

Situated on 42 beautiful acres with sweeping views of the San Gabriel River Valley, HighPointe estate offers exceptional service and beautiful spaces for your wedding or special event. Our story began when our son and daughter-in-law were married. We designed the flowers for the wedding and they were a hit! Soon, we were doing flowers for weddings all across Central Texas. It was during this season that we witnessed the challenges couples face - inadequate space, and poor “Plan B” options during bad weather. Every element of HighPointe Estate is designed with couples and event logistics in mind. We offer thoughtfully designed spaces to help you set the perfect mood for your big day. Our indoor spaces feature chocolate-brown trusses, stunning chandeliers, and loads of natural light streaming through large doors and windows. Outdoors, you’ll discover comfortable porches, beautiful gardens with water features, and plenty of room for outdoor fun!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Multiple event spaces
  • Classic elegance
  • Allows pets

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
  • Requires outside catering services
  • Does not have a dance floor
“This is the best choice I could have made for our wedding day. The price was affordable for the Austin/Hill country area and there were no hidden fees. They added in a perk like leaving greenery in the chapel up for no additional cost! The venue itself is breathtaking, although the floors might need a good wash! Dawson, the owner, is attentive in responding and was a majority of the time kind although sometimes seemed somewhat standoffish, whereas it was a bit harder to reach Jena (over a days response wait). Scheduling for the final walkthrough and the rehearsal was a bit of a pain, but everything managed to work out! Miscommunication closer towards our wedding was more common but was not the usual. Overall this venue, with its beauty and calmness helped make our day perfect.”

On our wedding day, the weather was perfect—chilly but sunny—and the views were absolutely stunning. It was the perfect backdrop for photos, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the venue. We also had guests stay in the yurts, and they were beyond happy with their accommodations. This aesthetically, logistically flawless venue offers endless options of the finest lodging, dining, wineries, tourist destinations in the immediate area.

“Wow, I am not even sure where to start with our review of King River Ranch! Absolutely everything was incredible! My Husband and I fell in love with the look and feel of the venue from the first moment we stepped on the ranch and met the owner David. He made us feel right at home and the venue was the exact place we had been looking for to get married! King River Ranch staff will even help you with floral design, vendor referrals, rentals, wedding decorations and make sure it is perfect for the best day of your life. They are experts in floral design and can help you make your wedding dreams turn into reality. The view from the ceremony site right on the Pedernales river was breathtaking. The whole place just has a magical feeling to it, The Barn, the ceremony site, the lawn areas….and all the beautiful animals that live on the property including the ranch horse King! The honeymoon suite is just beautiful, such a lovely place for the bride to get ready with her bridesmaids and for the couple to stay the night of their wedding. I could not have asked for a better venue to get ready with my best friends and it is a day I will remember forever. The groom and groomsmen have their own room to get ready with a TV to watch all their sporting events and can walk down to the Pedernales river to hang out with their buddies. My husband loved being able to use this ranch during the day! We also took our engagement pictures at the ranch which was so much fun, and I could not have asked for a prettier background for our save the dates. It was amazing to be able to meet our photographer before the day of our wedding and he also became familiar with our wedding site! People often ask us what the best part about our wedding day was and for both of us the best part about the day was dancing the night away under the beautiful hill country stars. We had several people come up to us saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to and everything was so perfect. We highly recommend King River Ranch, David, and all his staff. They go above and beyond to make everything perfect for your dream wedding. We keep in touch with everyone we met during our wedding journey and so lucky that we stumbled upon this magical venue. Thank you, David, and KRR Staff, you made our day the most special day of our lives. Love You KRR! Jordan & Chase.”

“Hilltop hideaway was a beautiful location for our wedding. The home was perfect to bring both families close and to stay and enjoy. The grounds offered several areas to choose from to have the ceremony. We got married in April which could mean rain. The venue had an option for an indoor barn style set up if we needed. Which has a kitchen set up to help serve. Overall we enjoyed the location. Communication with the owners as well as the grounds keeper was top notch.”

Star Hill is a re-creation of a Texas Hill Country community typical of the early 1900s. All of the buildings have been relocated from around the state and carefully restored. “This was the second venue that we toured, and the moment we stepped out of the car, we knew we had to book this for our wedding. Every inch of this place tells a story and has an amazing vibe. Matt and Renee were a dream to work with. They understood our vision and tried to make any ideas we had work. It happened to be the one time in Texas it rained for our day (of course!), but it actually turned out to be stunning weather. They were so fast shifting between rain and sun plans, still accommodated what we had in mind while also ensuring our guests were taken care of. They have amazing connections with people in the wedding business, literally every recco we went with they provided was perfect. I still am depressed about the day being over because it was just that good. I will forever recommend this venue - you truly can't go wrong.”

About wedding venues in Tow, TX

Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Many Texas venues incorporate unique regional touches you won't find elsewhere; live country music that gets everyone dancing, mouthwatering BBQ stations and custom boot favors that celebrate local heritage. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. Your overall wedding costs will depend largely on how many people you're inviting to share your special day:

Guest CountAverage Total Wedding Budget
50 guests$19,410
100 guests$32,365
150 guests$44,545
200 guests$55,433
250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211
In Texas specifically, venues typically account for about 16% of your total wedding budget with couples spending an average of $6,932. This gives you plenty of room in your budget to customize other elements of your celebration that matter most to you and your partner.

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. Fort Worth venues perfectly blend Western heritage with modern conveniences for a uniquely Texan experience. November emerges as the most popular month for venue inquiries across the state, so you might want to plan accordingly if you're interested in this popular time frame.

How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. His international culinary team creates gourmet meals on-site that will impress even your most food-savvy guests. Food-focused couples should also consider Steiner Ranch Steakhouse in Austin where you'll enjoy spectacular views alongside premium cuts of Texas beef. Cisco's Salsa Company near Tomball has built a reputation for their award-winning Mexican cuisine that adds authentic flavors to your celebration. Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse in the Houston area offers a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside carving and a festival atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding day.

How Can Texas Venues Support Remote Wedding Participation?

For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.

What Wedding Expenses Should You Budget for in Texas?

Beyond your venue there are several other key expenses to consider when planning a Texas wedding. For a typical 150-guest celebration your budget will likely break down this way: - Florists: $6,755 (15%) - Venue: $6,932 (16%) - Catering: $5,546 (12%) - Bar services: $4,437 (10%) - Photographers: $3,966 (9%) - Videographers: $3,555 (8%) - Planners: $3,768 (8%) - Bands & DJs: $1,299 (3%) - Cakes & desserts: $853 (2%) - Hair & makeup: $495 (1%)
