Guests come to events looking for great food, amazing drinks and a one of a kind guest experience. We help you deliver that to your guests, all while keeping your event true to you. After a few years of planning + coordination...florals became the next venture. I love being able to bring a vision full circle.

I have always been passionate about flowers and my knowledge of gardening and permaculture, as well as art and design made floral design an easy occupation to fall in love with. When I'm not designing floral arrangements you will likely find me in my garden where I grow many of my own flowers, or working as a retail display artist.

Scarborough Affair, was founded by the talented floral designer Laura Ellen in the Summer of 2019 in San Francisco, CA. In 2020 Laura moved her business to Dallas, Tx. During her stay, Laura was privileged to work with some of the top Interior Designers in the Country and was the exclusive florist for Carbone/Vino Dallas. Her floral designs have graced the pages of the most renowned magazines today. Laura is a true gem in the world of floristry. With a passion for upscale and sophisticated designs, Laura has brought her expertise back to California, infusing every creation with a touch of elegance and artistry.

With great certainty, Ricardo can say that he is living a life of fulfillment and blessings. He grew up in a small town near Mexicali, Mexico and spent many summers in California visiting his grandparents and family. After completing his education in Business Management in Mexicali, he knew California was where he wanted to come to start a new life. After a lot of hard work, persistence, and dedication, Ricardo learned English and earned a degree in Graphic Arts. After working as a Graphic Designer for 14 years, Ricardo's sense of style and passion for design transitioned seamlessly into the realm of floral and event design.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.
