“We had the chance to DJ a wedding here recently and it was absolutely gorgeous. The ceremony takes place right down by the Colorado River, which creates a really special, intimate setting with the water and canyon walls all around you. From there, guests head up to the reception area on the terrace, which overlooks the river and mountains—such a cool transition and a great way to separate the spaces. The patio setup for dinner and dancing is beautiful and feels very “Colorado.” Overall, it’s a really unique venue that combines a true outdoor experience with a polished reception space. “We had a wonderful experience working with Brus and the full Spruce Mountain team. They think of everything when it comes to logistics, and we didn't have to worry about a thing from the moment we showed up on wedding day until the end of the night. Our experience touring the venue a year and a half ago, coming back for the Wine & Nosh event, and doing our 30 day walk through all made the planning process so smooth and exciting for us and our families. The multiple ceremony locations are all gorgeous, and we were thrilled to be able to get married mountainside with the natural beauty of Colorado in the background. Our guests loved cocktail hour and the indoor/outdoor dinner & dancing set up. Spruce is truly a 5 star wedding venue because of its natural beauty and the organization/care the team takes in scoping out all the details, like 2 beautiful getting ready suites for the bridesmaids & groomsmen, shuttles to take guests up mountainside, and open air string lights for late night dancing. Spruce is also a popular spot that many of our vendors were familiar with, which made logistics even smoother since our bartenders, caterer, DJ, planner, and florist had all done multiple weddings at Spruce before and had great recommendations on what could work well with our vision. The Homestead & Wedding Pavilion Venue can accommodate up to 100 guests and has an outdoor covered Pavilion with mountain views as the ceremony space and a historic rustic cabin for the reception space. “Tammy & The FDR crew are absolutely incredible! This was hands down the most beautiful and breathtaking Mountain property! The venue boasts impeccably maintained landscaping/flowers, 2 ceremony site options (Aspen Grove View or Mountain View), a large white reception tent with dance floor, vendor/catering tents, on site bathrooms, a cabin for bridal party to get ready in -- and all within a comfortable 15min proximity to town which was amazing for our 200 guests!
