My husband and I were looking for a high value, reasonably-priced venue in the Brookly area and we found it in DEITY. We were immediately impressed by DEITY wedding packages. We were able to find a package that best fit our vision and budget. It’s really hard to imagine that we could have gotten a better deal for our money anywhere else, especially when you consider that the tax is already baked in upfront without any hidden surprises. DEITY is amazing, we couldn’t have picked a better venue for our small and intimate wedding. The whole staff was very friendly and very accommodating, Anna our event coordinator was always very helpful and guided us with any questions we had. The food was excellent, the table setup was perfect with the family style setting. The Chef was so hospitable, he stopped by to make sure we were pleased with the food. The bottom line is, on the day of our event, DEITY showed up and executed flawlessly, from the decor, to the food, to the event management. We have been getting non-stop compliments from our friends and family about how awesome the wedding was and how much fun they had. We had the pleasure of hosting our intimate wedding for just over 50 guests at the Renaissance Event Hall in May 2024. The event space is beautiful— although the surrounding area is a bit rough, it’s a space that’s large enough to really bring your vision to life. Originally, our ceremony was supposed to be held on the outdoor patio but after a “rain plan” rehearsal we decided to have the ceremony indoors to make use of the beautiful grand staircase. Affordable space— for NYC? Absolutely. Food— great! Bar— great! Staff— amazing! Shout out to Larry for the amazing lighting. Both Larry and Lisa went above and beyond to make sure guests were served, comfortable, and having a great time. My only wish was that there was a separate groom suite that’s apart from the bridal suite. Here we had to use a foldable partition to separate the bride side from the groom side. Also, our rehearsal was double booked with another wedding party the day before our wedding which was a bit disappointing having to wait and navigate around their rehearsal to complete ours. However, this just seemed to be a simple miscommunication between Lisa and her assistant which I’m hoping won’t be the case with another bride/groom. Overall, it was the perfect space to host our wedding. Lisa was such a pleasure to work with and had such great insights on how to bring together the event in a manner that made the best use of the space. Thank you to the Renaissance Event Hall team!

My husband and I got married two weeks ago at The Sanctuary and had the best night! Our guests loved the many features of the venue (the pier, patio, tent, and indoor space), complimented the food and drinks, and we were all extremely impressed by the high quality service provided by the bartenders and waiters. Working with Amelia and Kat on the day was a pleasure and we couldn’t thank them enough for supporting us as we got set up that morning, and throughout the day. Our wedding day was the first time we interacted with either of them, and it was a pleasant surprise to have so much support on our side. Throughout the planning process we worked closely with Alfonso. Alfonso does a great job selling The Sanctuary and was available to answer our questions along the way. There were definitely some things we needed to dig into a bit more than we thought we’d have to - creating a detailed timeline for the day based a few examples provided, develop clearer floorplans of the venue for our vendors to ensure they understood the space, putting together a table map for our dinner setup, renting/purchasing the sound equipment needed for our ceremony on the pier, finding an alternative rehearsal space, and hiring a day of coordinator to support with decor, set-up, flow, and cleanup. Reading other reviews of the venue was super helpful to ensure we were asking the right questions and following up on pieces that seemed unclear. If you’re looking for an affordable (relative to the rest of NYC), dynamic, and interesting wedding venue, and you’re willing to put in the work or hire a wedding planner, this is definitely a great contender!

From the very first email with our event planner, Amanda nearly three years ago, to our first visit, through the entire planning process, and finally the wedding day itself—everything was seamless, supportive, and filled with genuine care in every way. This venue doesn't just host your event, they make the event special and authentically personalized to you! The Grand Oaks team went above and beyond with our wedding day. We had zero stress because every detail was handled perfectly—the setup, food, drinks, and service were all exceptional. Our guests raved about the food, the friendly bartenders, and the overall atmosphere being stunning, well maintained, and generally gorgeous. The venue even took us around the golf course for photos in a golf cart, which was such a fun touch! The staff at Grand Oaks were all also fantastic! Celebrate at Snug Harbor continues to be one of my favorite venues to work with. Every detail is handled with care, and having Kenzie as the main point of contact makes all the difference. She's the captain of the ship, keeping things running smoothly while creating space for vendors to do their best work. I recently DJ’d the BNI Prefer to Refer holiday party there, and like every event I've done at Snug, it was executed beautifully from start to finish.
