“Pleasant Pastures is a beautiful hidden gem in central Minnesota. Mindi, Samuel, and everyone else on the Pleasant Pastures team were an absolute joy to work with. When we first started planning our wedding, our biggest fear was finding a venue that would try to nickel and dime us throughout the process. Pleasant Pastures is the complete opposite of that. The services, amenities, and pricing were very clearly laid out, and we felt we received an incredible amount of value. Having access to their decorations and grain bin bar was invaluable and helped make our wedding feel truly special. From our experience, Mindi and Samuel were there for us every step of the way. They were always willing to answer questions, offer suggestions, and help with the little details that can become overwhelming when planning a wedding. Most importantly, we never felt like just another couple renting their venue. They genuinely cared about making our day special. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and our guests had nothing but great things to say about it. Looking back, choosing Pleasant Pastures was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We cannot recommend Mindi, Samuel, and the entire Pleasant Pastures team enough. They went above and beyond for us, and we would choose Pleasant Pastures again in a heartbeat!”

The Hollywood Theater is an iconic Art Deco landmark in Northeast Minneapolis. When it opened in 1936, the theater was described as “the incomparable showcase of the Northwest’’. After years of decline, the theater closed in 1987 and was purchased by the city of Minneapolis. Twenty-five years of inaction and neglect followed until 2014 when the National Park Service recognized the building’s historical significance and listed it on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2015 the theater was sold to Northeast-resident and entrepreneur Andrew Volna, who saved the building and restored its original Art Deco splendor. Today it is ready to host your event. Hollywood Theater can seat up to 250 guests, but can welcome 500-600 guests with a mix of seating and standing room. In addition to the theater space, there is a private courtyard, complete with grass & string lights. Perfect for an outdoor ceremony, your cocktail hour, or just a breath of fresh air. “Quincy Hall was an incredible venue for our wedding! We had around 200 guests for our September wedding and it felt simultaneously spacious and cozy. The QH team was very responsive and helped with planning every step of the way. They were also super accommodating and helped fine ways for us to meet out budget while still getting the experience we were looking for. The venue and surrounding area had a number of spots for stunning, industrial vibe photos and we couldn't be happier with the look and feel for our day. Our food was also outstanding. We knew the food at Crave would be delicious, but we received so many compliments from guests about their meals. They have some of the most reasonable prices on the market and the catering staff were super professional and polished. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend Quincy Hall!”

“I thought overall the New Brandon community center was a wonderful venue and the coordinator of events Britain McDonald was very helpful. Communicating was best through email, and I got a much quicker response using email. Your only thing I would say is they need to update their stereo system and their audio visual equipment. In order for us to play music over the speakers, we had to plug our devices into a a older worn input cord, and it was staticky, and the room is a separate area. So the person that was doing our music had to miss out on our ceremony because they were in another room having to hit next or play on their device to get music. So an updated system or updated way of doing it would be awesome!”

“Good venue! We didn't go with any of their preferred vendors, but were able to get approval fairly easily (but just be aware there are extra steps to get approval if you choose your own vendors). It was really nice to have all food and drinks handled by the venue, and very nice to stay in one location all day --from getting ready in the morning to the end of the night. We also received day-of-coordinator services with our package, the value of which cannot be stressed enough. Leah was extremely helpful and professional. There was also another staff member who joined us right at 8 AM to help set up our breakfast and coffee and check in on us every hour or so. Also -- all the waitstaff and bartenders were SO great. They treated our guests incredibly well. My husband and I were never without a drink or water thanks to the bartenders, who would even walk out from behind the bar to bring us something on the dancefloor. We got a lot of feedback from the guests, even a couple of weeks later, that the food was amazing. It was also super classy to have passed appetizers during cocktail hour. We ended up decorating very minimally because the indoor and outdoor space speak for themselves. I'd recommend to anyone who is looking for a full-service venue! Don't pick this place if you want to source your own food/drink or if you are concerned about your guests/wedding party following the rules (like bringing outside food or drink or vaping/smoking). You will get fined! Overall, the experience was very high-end.”

“We were so pleased that we selected Campus Club for our October 2019 wedding. From the first email inquiry we sent to the Campus Club, we were impressed with the diligence, competence, and experience of the staff. The space worked well for us and our guests. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out - the terrace, the dining room, the lounge area, and the bar. We had a variety to guests from kids to my 90 year old grandparents and everyone was comfortable. The views are stunning from every single one of the spaces! We had hoped that our ceremony would be on the terrace but it was unseasonably cold (and snowing) on our wedding day so we ended up having it indoors. We were initially disappointed but it worked out great to have guests sit at the dining tables and was really pretty. The space is nicely finished and requires very little decor to look pretty for a wedding - we only did centerpieces and cafe lighting and it looked great! This saved us a bunch of money too. The food was excellent and all of our guests’ dietary limitations were accommodated. Leading up to our wedding, we worked mostly with Jenn who is very organized and responsive and takes care of all the details we hadn’t thought of. She responded to every one of our (million) questions right away. On the day of our wedding, the managers and staff made everything run absolutely perfectly. These people really know what they’re doing. We couldn’t be happier about our wedding day. Thanks Campus Club! Even 5 years later, I'd choose Campus Club again and again. 5/5!”

“My husband, Josh, and I got married at East Town Ballroom on 10/10/2026. Because ETB - unlike other places - does not charge a room rental fee on top of the food and beverage minimum, we went into the tour knowing that we would REALLY have to dislike it in order not to book with them. But we were absolutely blown away with how much we loved it. We had a pretty ambitious goal for our venue food budget, and Emma worked hard to help us attain it. For full transparency, we paid about 10,700 for a wedding of 120 people, decorations, three kegs, and covered parking for vendors. Most other venues we looked at would have had STARTING prices at 14K. Over the course of the year we spent working with Emma, we asked her about 10,000 questions. She answered every one with generosity, patience, and grace and never made us feel like a burden. Even when we changed our minds on some details, she was extremely receptive and always quick to respond. She went above and beyond in every way and made the planning process a true breeze with how organized she was. I also want to speak about the staff - it is the understatement of the century to call them kind and professional. Whether it was with welcome bags, making sure our floating candles were lit during cocktail hour, or doing the final cleanup the next morning so we wouldn’t have to worry about it, they lifted so much of the last-minute stress that happens in the 24 hours before and after the ceremony. They made us feel so taken care of and celebrated and showed us that they genuinely cared about us having a wonderful day. Part of the reason we were so excited about ETB is because neither my husband nor I are from Minnesota, so we had a lot of travelers coming in. Having the hotel block, ceremony, and reception all in one location was so convenient, and we were even able to hold welcome drinks and the after party in the hotel lobby due to its spaciousness and bar. It felt amazing not to have to worry about traveling to other locations with all of the guests and so relaxed to just come back inside and get off of our feet for a debrief after an awesome sparkler sendoff. It was especially nice for our grandmothers and family members with very young children because they could easily make their way up to their rooms when they were finished partying without needing to work with a shuttle service or call an Uber. Some random recommendations/things to note: - get the wedding drapings. It’s 1K-2K, but so so worth it. The ceremony/reception are in what is basically a giant meeting room, and when it’s not set up for a wedding, you can tell it’s a meeting room. The drapings completely transform the space and make it super dreamy and romantic! - This is totally a personal opinion, but I was not a fan of the carpets in there. We got an aisle runner (6x40) and this worked great. - If you’re wondering how long your aisle song should be - my dad and I took about 25 seconds to walk down the aisle. - rooftop for pictures looks out over downtown Minneapolis and is perfect for golden hour! - The food is great! There were a lot of GF options and even a kid’s meal (chicken tenders and fries), which I haven’t seen at other venues. All in all, we can’t recommend East Town Ballroom enough. Everything about it was absolutely amazing, and I encourage every engaged couple looking to get married in the Twin Cities to check it out!”

“From the moment we stepped into Watson Block we just knew it was exactly what we were looking for in a venue. If your vibe is intimate, romantic, old world charm this is your spot. Pictures don’t do it justice and it’s so beautiful you truly need very little to make it your own. Gaby was incredible for the entire planning process all the way through to our big day. We did almost everything ourselves- including creating an arch to be married under, to signage, to table decor, even our own wedding flowers. Gaby answered every question with ease and was incredible at assuaging my nerves. She and her team set things up perfectly from the ceremony to the switch for dinner and then dancing. I often questioned if we needed a day of coordinator and was so happy I didn’t waste my money on one because it wasn’t needed. I never knew a day could be as truly magical as our wedding was and a huge part of that was how much we loved our venue. I would happily suggest it to anyone asking. The other huge bonus is it was truly one of if not the best value for venues in the twin cities. This gem will continue to gain notoriety as an incredible venue for years to come!!”

“We had the pleasure of working with The Emery Hotel for our wedding on New Year Eve (12.32.25) and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! From start to finish, they were supportive, professional, responsive, organized, and SO incredibly helpful. Sheena, Nick, Josh, and all the rest of the staff went above and beyond by helping us ensure the event ran smooth, that our guests felt welcomed, and were so attentive throughout the entire process. Their catering, event arrangements, décor, bar services, hotel service was stunning, delicious, beautifully executed, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it! They said it was one of the best weddings they’d ever been too. It’s all because of the amazing vendors we had the pleasure of working with, like everyone at The Emery Hotel. Communication was easy and they made the entire process seamless. If you’re looking an event venue and staff who listens to your vision, brings creativity, delivers exceptional service, we highly recommend The Emery Hotel! “From the moment we began our journey with the Lumber Exchange, every staff member was flexible, friendly, helpful, and kind. Everyone we worked with truly wanted our day to be special. The food is incredible, and the chefs were so attentive to dietary needs—during our tasting they sat down with us, and the head chef even came out during the reception to make sure everything was perfect. The entire team puts their best foot forward. The value of the service, food, beverages, and overall experience is absolutely worth the cost, and compared to other venues, it’s not overpriced in my opinion. “The Van Dusen Mansion was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the first time we reached out, the staff was fast, efficient, and incredibly kind throughout the entire planning process. The only downside was they have a preferred caterer that was very expensive and harder to work with since they only had specific options and plans. On the day of, their day-of coordinator was amazing - she ensured the flow of the event went smoothly and everything was executed flawlessly. The space itself is absolutely beautiful and regal, creating a truly special atmosphere for our special day.
