Our wedding at Morgan Creek Barn was truly unforgettable. From start to finish, the entire MCB team went above and beyond to make sure every detail was thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed. She kept everything organized, on track, and stress-free, ensuring every detail was completed on time so our wedding day could run seamlessly. On the day of the wedding, we worked with Carrie as our day-of coordinator, and she was absolutely amazing. Hilltop hideaway was a beautiful location for our wedding. The home was perfect to bring both families close and to stay and enjoy. The grounds offered several areas to choose from to have the ceremony. We got married in April which could mean rain. The venue had an option for an indoor barn style set up if we needed. Which has a kitchen set up to help serve. Overall we enjoyed the location. Communication with the owners as well as the grounds keeper was top notch.

We honestly don’t even know where to begin because our experience with this venue was truly unforgettable. From our rehearsal dinner at their chophouse location to our wedding at Flintrock Falls, every single moment felt supported, seamless, and so genuinely cared for. From the very beginning, everyone we worked with was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. They walked us through every step of the planning process and made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and exciting instead. We truly felt like we were in the best hands the entire time. The grounds were also absolutely beautiful and so well-maintained—it truly added to the magic of the day. You can even see in some of the images how perfectly kept and picturesque everything was, which made such a difference in the overall atmosphere. So many details were thoughtfully included with the venue—tables and seating, linens, a dance floor, and beautiful real plateware, flatware, and glassware—which made everything feel elevated and effortless. Their team also handled both setup and breakdown for our wedding, which was something we will forever be grateful for. That level of care meant everything to us. Because of them, our families didn’t have to worry about staying late to clean up or handle logistics—we were all able to simply stay together, soak in every moment, and keep celebrating the happiest day of our lives. And the food… it was absolutely incredible. We are still hearing from guests that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had, and we couldn’t agree more. This team went above and beyond in every possible way to make our wedding feel perfect, and we will always be grateful for the role they played in such an important chapter of our lives. We truly cannot recommend them enough.

Our wedding at Vintage Villas Hotel & Events was absolutely perfect. The event center had so much space and looked stunning, and the ceremony gazebo felt like something straight out of a fairytale. Samantha, the sales rep, really listened to what we wanted and helped us find the right package for our budget. The whole team was responsive and made sure every detail came together smoothly. One thing to know going in is that they work more like a venue planner than a full-service coordinator, so you'll be involved in a lot of the planning yourself—we're type A people, and it still felt like a lot, so if you're not super organized, definitely hire a separate planner. That said, they're totally upfront about what to expect, and we loved how much control we had over our day. The hotel made it super easy for our guests driving in to stay, and it helped extend the weekend of love and joy with our favorite people.

This was the second venue that we toured, and the moment we stepped out of the car, we knew we had to book this for our wedding. Every inch of this place tells a story and has an amazing vibe. Matt and Renee were a dream to work with. They understood our vision and tried to make any ideas we had work. It happened to be the one time in Texas it rained for our day (of course!), but it actually turned out to be stunning weather. They were so fast shifting between rain and sun plans, still accommodated what we had in mind while also ensuring our guests were taken care of. They have amazing connections with people in the wedding business, literally every recco we went with they provided was perfect. I still am depressed about the day being over because it was just that good. I will forever recommend this venue - you truly can't go wrong.

I don't usually take the time to do many reviews. But, it brings me joy to do a review for Elope in Austin. We had a very short time to plan a wedding and I looked everywhere for a venue that would fit our needs. After many weeks of searching for a venue, out of nowhere, I stumbled upon Elopes website and I was thrilled. To be honest, everything looked too good to be true. I decided to reach out to them and I'm glad I did. From the initial communication to the wedding day, everything was great. The Elope team did an amazing job getting everything together for us. We decided to go with The Classic package and it was perfect. When they tell you they take care of everything so you don't have to worry about it, they really do mean that. All you have to do is pick the simple things like colors and music, etc. You know exactly what to expect from them and they answer any questions you may have in a timely manner.  Planning a wedding can be really stressful, if you want to avoid all the headaches of trying to make all the arrangements yourself, I highly recommend you contact Elope In Austin, you will not be disappointed. Lorelei and the rest of the team are true professionals and my wife and I are extremely happy with how everything turned out. I hope this review helps anyone that is looking for a stress free wedding.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Treaty Oak in April. We had about 40 people in the Mercantile room which was probably a bit too many, the tables ended up being placed really close to one another but we made it work. The planning process was a little difficult, communication was often delayed and made us a little anxious but once all the details were worked out the event went really well. The food, drinks and the environment were amazing! I would definitely recommend.

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about The Allegro. From the second we toured, we were blown away by the views and property. It feels tucked away and private, which made our wedding day feel so exclusive and intimate, even with a full guest list. The onsite cottages were a game changer as well. Being able to get ready right there and not have to worry about transportation or timing stress made the whole day feel relaxed and smooth. Our bridal party loved it. One of my favorite parts was the free in-house decor catalog. It saved us so much money and time not having to rent a million little things from different vendors. They have so many beautiful options and it honestly elevated the entire look of our wedding. And Riley… truly the MVP. She was so accommodating, calm, and helpful throughout the entire process. No question was too small, and she made everything feel easy and organized. You can tell she genuinely cares. If you’re even considering The Allegro — book the tour. It’s one of those venues that somehow looks even better in person.

About wedding venues in Spicewood, TX

Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Many Texas venues incorporate unique regional touches you won't find elsewhere; live country music that gets everyone dancing, mouthwatering BBQ stations and custom boot favors that celebrate local heritage. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. Your overall wedding costs will depend largely on how many people you're inviting to share your special day:

Guest CountAverage Total Wedding Budget
50 guests$19,410
100 guests$32,365
150 guests$44,545
200 guests$55,433
250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211
In Texas specifically, venues typically account for about 16% of your total wedding budget with couples spending an average of $6,932. This gives you plenty of room in your budget to customize other elements of your celebration that matter most to you and your partner.

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. Fort Worth venues perfectly blend Western heritage with modern conveniences for a uniquely Texan experience. November emerges as the most popular month for venue inquiries across the state, so you might want to plan accordingly if you're interested in this popular time frame.

How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. His international culinary team creates gourmet meals on-site that will impress even your most food-savvy guests. Food-focused couples should also consider Steiner Ranch Steakhouse in Austin where you'll enjoy spectacular views alongside premium cuts of Texas beef. Cisco's Salsa Company near Tomball has built a reputation for their award-winning Mexican cuisine that adds authentic flavors to your celebration. Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse in the Houston area offers a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside carving and a festival atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding day.

How Can Texas Venues Support Remote Wedding Participation?

For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.

What Wedding Expenses Should You Budget for in Texas?

Beyond your venue there are several other key expenses to consider when planning a Texas wedding. For a typical 150-guest celebration your budget will likely break down this way: - Florists: $6,755 (15%) - Venue: $6,932 (16%) - Catering: $5,546 (12%) - Bar services: $4,437 (10%) - Photographers: $3,966 (9%) - Videographers: $3,555 (8%) - Planners: $3,768 (8%) - Bands & DJs: $1,299 (3%) - Cakes & desserts: $853 (2%) - Hair & makeup: $495 (1%)
