Since 2016, KRR has been one of the Hill Country's most recognizable and esteemed wedding & special event venues, hosting countless successful celebrations over many years. A uniquely elegant and upscale ranch experience, nestled into the heavenly banks of the iconic Pedernales River in the heart of the Texas Wine Country, KRR is optimally located downriver from the Lyndon B. Johnson Family Ranch, just minutes from the charming town of Fredericksburg. Built by event designer to SAG Awards and Audi, our world-class amenities include an open-air terrace on the riverbank, climate-controlled King Barn, 4,000 sq. ft. cottage lodging/make-up/hair studio/dressing salon/private suite, 1/4 mile riverfront, fishing pond & pasture, friendly farm animals, ,site management, tables/chairs, ample parking, unparalleled views in every direction. This aesthetically, logistically flawless venue offers endless options of the finest lodging, dining, wineries, tourist destinations in the immediate area.

Wow, I am not even sure where to start with our review of King River Ranch! Absolutely everything was incredible! My Husband and I fell in love with the look and feel of the venue from the first moment we stepped on the ranch and met the owner David. He made us feel right at home and the venue was the exact place we had been looking for to get married! King River Ranch staff will even help you with floral design, vendor referrals, rentals, wedding decorations and make sure it is perfect for the best day of your life. They are experts in floral design and can help you make your wedding dreams turn into reality. The view from the ceremony site right on the Pedernales river was breathtaking. The whole place just has a magical feeling to it, The Barn, the ceremony site, the lawn areas….and all the beautiful animals that live on the property including the ranch horse King! The honeymoon suite is just beautiful, such a lovely place for the bride to get ready with her bridesmaids and for the couple to stay the night of their wedding. I could not have asked for a better venue to get ready with my best friends and it is a day I will remember forever. The groom and groomsmen have their own room to get ready with a TV to watch all their sporting events and can walk down to the Pedernales river to hang out with their buddies. My husband loved being able to use this ranch during the day! We also took our engagement pictures at the ranch which was so much fun, and I could not have asked for a prettier background for our save the dates. It was amazing to be able to meet our photographer before the day of our wedding and he also became familiar with our wedding site! People often ask us what the best part about our wedding day was and for both of us the best part about the day was dancing the night away under the beautiful hill country stars. We had several people come up to us saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to and everything was so perfect. We highly recommend King River Ranch, David, and all his staff. They go above and beyond to make everything perfect for your dream wedding. We keep in touch with everyone we met during our wedding journey and so lucky that we stumbled upon this magical venue. Thank you, David, and KRR Staff, you made our day the most special day of our lives. Love You KRR! Jordan & Chase.

Hilltop hideaway was a beautiful location for our wedding. The home was perfect to bring both families close and to stay and enjoy. The grounds offered several areas to choose from to have the ceremony. We got married in April which could mean rain. The venue had an option for an indoor barn style set up if we needed. Which has a kitchen set up to help serve. Overall we enjoyed the location. Communication with the owners as well as the grounds keeper was top notch.

Paired with their recommended vendors, the team put together a magical night for us and our guests! They have so many different spaces for each part of the event (ceremony overlook, tree grove, event center, rooftop, and beer garden), so the day never felt stale. Not only was the venue beautiful, but the staff really are the stars of this review. Kim, the venue coordinator was amazing to work with! She was accommodating, available, and such a fun personality to be around. The bar staff that we had serve during our wedding were amazing as well! They were quick and kept the guests moving quickly. Everyone raved about the wedding and how beautiful the venue was. I was scared I wasn’t going to make the venue very wedding like since it’s a distillery, but the space was gorgeous on its own and as a minimalist bride, I was able to include some touches that just made the whole venue stand out. Oh! And the drinks were AMAZING! Kim even went above and beyond by naming some of their drinks to match our names.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Treaty Oak in April. We had about 40 people in the Mercantile room which was probably a bit too many, the tables ended up being placed really close to one another but we made it work. The planning process was a little difficult, communication was often delayed and made us a little anxious but once all the details were worked out the event went really well. The food, drinks and the environment were amazing! I would definitely recommend.

I don't usually take the time to do many reviews. But, it brings me joy to do a review for Elope in Austin. We had a very short time to plan a wedding and I looked everywhere for a venue that would fit our needs. After many weeks of searching for a venue, out of nowhere, I stumbled upon Elopes website and I was thrilled. To be honest, everything looked too good to be true. I decided to reach out to them and I'm glad I did. From the initial communication to the wedding day, everything was great. The Elope team did an amazing job getting everything together for us. We decided to go with The Classic package and it was perfect. When they tell you they take care of everything so you don't have to worry about it, they really do mean that. All you have to do is pick the simple things like colors and music, etc. You know exactly what to expect from them and they answer any questions you may have in a timely manner.  Planning a wedding can be really stressful, if you want to avoid all the headaches of trying to make all the arrangements yourself, I highly recommend you contact Elope In Austin, you will not be disappointed. Lorelei and the rest of the team are true professionals and my wife and I are extremely happy with how everything turned out. I hope this review helps anyone that is looking for a stress free wedding.

We imagined a perfect place to get married. A setting that felt like stepping back into a simple time. A beautiful, serene place where time seems to stop so you can enjoy each moment with friends and family. We imagined a grand, gated entrance leading to a meandering road with perfectly picturesque cabins nestled among the oak trees, a general store where guests would gather for signature cocktails, a sheriff's office for a fun and festive photo booth, a groom's cabin for getting ready and playing a little poker, a chandelier filled chapel overlooking a pond, and an event barn complete with a luxurious bridal suite, and an amazing Saloon for larger receptions. All crafted with authentic old- world materials and detailing. We imagined beautiful brides ranging from cowgirls to contessas. We imagined their weddings as storybook events. Twisted Ranch has become all that and more! Come find out why we were voted Number 1 ranch venue in the Hill Country, Austin, TX, and the US.

Perfect venue for a DIY friendly wedding. No preferred vendors, requirements for licensed party planners, etc. Noel and Victoria made the whole experience easy and casual. There’s an attached kitchen for food prep, a bridal sweet, an elevator for easy loading/unloading, chairs/table’s available for a reasonable price as well. We were able to coordinate getting into the space the day before for set up. The only issue was getting security set up for the day of. You have to work with the local police department and i didn’t even know if they were actually coming until they showed up. But Noel personally spoke to the chief for me and ensured it wouldn’t be an issue.

We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner at Deep Eddy Distillery and truly couldn’t have been happier with the experience! We went in sight unseen and were a bit nervous, but Stacee was incredibly helpful from the start—she sent us detailed videos and answered all of our questions so we could feel totally confident. The space ended up exceeding all expectations. One of the biggest highlights included the included photo booth—it was a hit with our guests! Beyond that, the staff was warm, friendly, and made everything feel easy and welcoming, which was such a relief with so many out-of-town guests. We also really appreciated how flexible the venue is. It’s one of the only spots in the area that has an indoor space with A/C (so important in Texas heat!), the ability to bring in your own caterer, which gave us so much freedom to personalize the dinner, and a layout that works great for both small and large groups. The whole experience felt relaxed, fun, and personal—exactly what we hoped for. Can’t recommend Deep Eddy and Stacee enough for anyone planning an event in the area!

At this all-in-one venue, weather is not an issue! Add to that an amazing coordination team and there's no reason to host your wedding anywhere else. Whether you’ve had your wedding planned since you were little, or if you are starting from square one, you’ll be in very good hands at Canyonwood Ridge and with Amanda (@Amanda_Hepner) and Amanda Blue Events (ABE) as your wedding coordinator. We are still coming off our ‘post-wedding’ high and continue to receive compliments from our guests who said it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever been to. And we were fortunate to work with Amanda Hepner at Amanda Blue Events who works with Canyonwood Ridge and is a Wedding Coordinator Extraordinaire! Amanda was our advisor, ‘architect’, anchor, advocate, and ally during our whole wedding process. She played a key role in making our wedding a memorable event; and what a wedding it was! From the overall ‘big picture’ down to the minute details needed for a successful event, Canyonwood Ridge, Amanda and her team worked together to make the event spectacular. We highly recommend using Amanda Blue Events for your wedding coordination and hosting your wedding event at Canyonwood Ridge. Check out the Canyonwood Ridge website; everything there is picture perfect, literally. And superb planning by Amanda Blue Events means that your special day will be one that is well-planned and worry-free, and most importantly, one that you will always remember. Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. 250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. His international culinary team creates gourmet meals on-site that will impress even your most food-savvy guests. Food-focused couples should also consider Steiner Ranch Steakhouse in Austin where you'll enjoy spectacular views alongside premium cuts of Texas beef. Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse in the Houston area offers a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside carving and a festival atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding day.

How Can Texas Venues Support Remote Wedding Participation?

For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.
