Built-in 1925, in the grand architectural style of Beaux-Arts Classical Revival, the Simon Theatre provided a splendid setting for many theatrical performances, film screenings and ballroom dances. The James Simon family commissioned Houston architect Alfred C. Finn, whose career included designing a number of prominent Houston buildings as well as the San Jacinto Monument, to design the theatre for the community of Brenham. The Middleton venue is a brand new event venue that just finished building in September 2023. This cozy luxurious event center is also a historical replica of the Stewart and Wright drugstore that was once in old Katy! The Middleton venue is a cozy 1274 ft.² we do provide tables chairs and black linens for your event. Our Max occupancy is 85 people standing 65 seated. We have two wheelchair accessible bathrooms with baby changing stations in both and easy parking right next to the venue.

This Fall the Astorian proudly debuts Le Tesserae, a 20,000 square-foot indoor/outdoor private event space and rooftop bar overlooking Buffalo Bayou. Guests will be greeted by a stunning reception lobby, extensively detailed with a hand-laid mosaic floor and crown-molded ceiling, before entering the spacious ballroom, enveloped by floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing patrons to seamlessly flow between inside and outside settings.
