Ryan began his wedding videography career in 2010 in Los Angeles and quickly became recognized as one of the top videographers in the U.S.. After relocating to DC and still receiving countless inquiries from all corners of the country, Ryan decided to recruit and train a few talented friends so he could continue offering the quality wedding videography he’s known for in SoCal and eventually over 10 cities. Shutter and Sound is a very small group of filmmakers dedicated to turning your big day into a work of art.

In 2013, after working professionally in film for many years, I began to apply my interest in storytelling to creating authentic wedding videos. My filmmaking style is a blend of cinematic and documentary elements, with an emphasis on music and emotional expression. My favorite moments to capture are honest and unplanned, so I like to stay in tune and shoot what happens naturally. When I'm not attending weddings, I enjoy writing music, reading, and spending time with my wife and kids in West Chester, PA.

We have a film education background and we implement this eye and skill into our wedding videography. It's very cinematic and expressive and we've gotten nothing but outstanding feedback from our wedding couples.

Before I started this film business, I worked as a Wedding Photographer for several years. Once I learned that I could shoot films using the same still cameras, I was hooked. My approach as a videographer has been much the same - be in the right place to capture authentic moments of fun and emotion, but don't try to force them. My name is Tyra Breaux, I trained in film making at the Art Institute of Charlotte. I started this business in 2013 in Charlotte, NC. With my work there's nothing more important than making sure a story is effectively delivered. The goal is to always build relationships with my audience. Not only do I want to attract your attention, but to invite you emotionally to participate with each video created. Editing is my niche! You will see how I love to highlight the good parts, maybe even add a few cool graphics and animation.

In an age of algorithms, hashtags, and followers photography/video has taught Kenny the true importance of the human connection. To him, photography/video is more than composing a beautiful shot or finding the best light. It’s about finding moments that shares with the viewer a special insight into the couples, the friends, that he has the privilege to document.
