“We booked Hanel for both our engagement shoot and wedding. We cannot say anymore great things about him. His email responses were timely, thorough and it was incredibly easy to set up time to meet with him to discuss his and our visions. My husband and I are not camera people in the slightest, and often make silly faces in order to balance our awkwardness. However, Hanel and his assistant made us feel at ease during both shoots, and gave easy directions for us to follow throughout that ultimately made us feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. They were so welcoming/friendly, and we felt like we were just hanging out with our friends for the day. Hanel was able to handle the chaos that were my family and friends on the wedding day, and easily navigated all the different groupings for photos the day of with immense ease. “Nelson and his team photographed our May wedding in Plattekill, NY and the experience was absolutely extraordinary! They were professional while also personable making the experience very relaxed and natural. Prior to the big day, Nelson was very communicative and helped design a schedule meeting my interests of different shots and perfected the timing. On the day of, Nelson and his team eased right in without a hitch bouncing from one location to the next and corralling us and family seamlessly while staying on time. There wasn't a single moment of concern or stress during photos! Now to gush about the product!! Nelson and his team caught the most PERFECT moments. “Shukhrat and his wife Rachel just shot our June 8th wedding and we couldn't be happier. They were amazing to work with and the photos are phenomenal! About the pictures: Shukhrat is versatile and very skilled. When we took our engagement photos he provided us with various styles of photos and editing, and then used our feedback to guide the photos he took at our wedding. He is also flexible. We got married in a city park and there were wayyyy more people in the park than we were expecting at 6:00pm at night. Without missing any of the candid details or true-to-life colors that we wanted, Shukhrat was able to frame the photos and/or alter the lighting so that the park goers were barely visible in the background. Both Shukhrat and Rachel are also very skilled at giving direction when needed, but letting you do your own thing the rest of the time. Neither my husband nor I have a lot of experience in front of a camera—they gave us enough direction to feel confident, without making us feel stifled or overly posed. We wanted photos that felt organic and genuine, and they were really able to capture that. Working with Shukhrat and Rachel: The two of them were a dream to work with. Incredibly professional--very communicative, punctual, quick turnaround time on photos. And they are also just lovely people. You spend so much time on your wedding day with your photographers, it's really important to feel comfortable with them, and we certainly did. They brought both a fun, but calming energy, easing our pre-wedding jitters before the ceremony, and leaning into the excitement as the night went on. “My husband and I got married in September in Providence, RI. I knew I wanted a photographer that was bright and colorful because of the venue and vibe of the day. I was nervous I wasn’t going to be able to find someone and would need to settle because I planned our wedding in 4 months. The original photographer I reached out to was not available and gave me Maria’s information. I was excited that she had the availability on such short notice, but once we had our first call with her I knew we had made the right decision and the day was going to be a blast. Communication up to our wedding was precise and clear. When the day came, it felt like we had known Maria and Jackson our entire lives. It was like hanging out with some of our closest friends. They made sure we got all the shots that we wanted, but also still enjoyed every second of the day. We did do a first look so it helped with picture timing but what was considered our cocktail hour (the entire night was cocktail style) they followed us around and took candida and groups when necessary. It was perfect. Not once did we feel like we had taken too many pictures. We got married on a rooftop but they also made sure that we had shots in the city streets and a large variety of locations. When we got our sneak peaks I was truly speechless (and ugly crying). I was absolutely blown away by how PERFECTLY they had captured our day. You could feel the joy radiating from the photos and the colors and clarity was unbelievable. I am still speechless and in awe of how amazing our pictures came out. Our day was absolutely perfect but Maria and Jackson for sure made it memorable with the most breathtaking pictures. They truly tell a story and how fun the entire night was. I look at the photos constantly and I don’t foresee that stopping anytime soon. We get SO many compliments from people about how beautiful they are and everyone asks who the photographer was. “I was referred to Birch Fields by my cousin (who used Birch Fields for her wedding) 2 weeks before my June 2020 Covid wedding. We decided last minute to have the wedding even if it was just going to be immediate family. Because no extended family or friends were allowed at the time we wanted a way to record the day as if they were there. I had posted I was looking for someone to shoot on a VHS camcorder and film the whole wedding start to finish with no breaks just like old family videos we had growing up. We had an unusual experience in that we wanted to capture both of our faith traditions on different days and different geographical areas in the same state. Anna Elisabeth professionally and respectfully photographically savored these traditions beautifully with her photographic gift. She was present and her presence was professionally and discretely demonstrated. Her keen sense of recording precious moments was one of storybooks.. from having the pictures of the bride's mother place, her once veil (when the mother was married 57 years ago) to having the groom's mother putting a family heirloom bracelet on to capturing the special wink given by the groom when he first saw the bride walking down the aisle with her father. All these moments were special at the time and Anna Elisabeth captured them beautifully and discretely. Communication is very important to us, and Anna Elisabeth was professional, prompt and demonstrated honest integrity throughout the entire process. We are providing her a 5 star rating but she is off the charts and anyone who uses her will understand why she should be rated a 10!”

Located at the Jersey Shore, where most photographers focus on sunny beach weddings, I was looking for something different. Our wedding took place in the fall, full of rich earth tones and a fun, edgy vibe that centered not just on romance, but on the presence of our children. It was important to us that the day felt authentic, emotional, and full of movement. And, just to make it more fun, ours was a Halloween wedding. We had a formal ceremony followed by a costume reception, and Eric embraced every bit of it. He didn’t just roll with our unique requests—he elevated them.
