Welcome to The Stakeout at Outlaw Hill, a legendary Taos hideaway once frequented by desperados and outlaws like Billy the Kid and Dennis Hopper. As New Mexico’s premier venue, The Stakeout offers a reprieve from modern life and serves as an iconic location for ceremonies and celebrations. Perched atop Outlaw Hill at 7,200 feet, we provide an intimate setting with breathtaking views of the Rio Grande Gorge and Taos. Here, you’ll be surrounded by the same mesas and Sangre de Cristo Mountains that inspired the heart and imagination of Georgia O’Keeffe.

Why you'll love this venue

Venue considerations

Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
Does not have a dance floor
Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists

“As a full-time wedding photographer, I work with venues all over the southwest and around the country. My experience with the Siouxzen and the team there was top-notch! Not only does the venue provide an incredibly unique southwestern vibe with gorgeous white stucco, wood beams on the ceiling, traditional adobe fireplace, and antique-feeling furniture throughout. The staff from the bartenders to the banquet team and coordinators of course were so willing to serve and assist the entire day. And don't even get me started on the views there. Sheesh. If you're looking for a boutique southwestern venue for your elevated event you'd look no further! Much love for this place and its staff.”
