About this venue

The Orpheum stands as the largest and most recognizable landmark in downtown Buena Vista, a testament to over a century of Colorado history. Built in 1910, this iconic structure has witnessed the evolution of our mountain community, and as its current custodians, we’re honored to transform it into a gathering place where meaningful connections flourish for generations to come. As an open, DIY-style venue, we love giving couples the freedom to personalize their wedding. Catering is selected from our authorized caterers, and all beer, wine, and spirits are provided through our in-house bar. We offer a variety of bar packages to suit different styles and budgets. For all other vendors—including florists, day of coordinators, photographers, cake/dessert, décor, and more—you are welcome to choose whomever you’d like.

    Even though this venue is currently under construction, it is already clear that it is going to be absolutely incredible once completed. What really sets this venue apart, though, is the staff. Every person we interacted with was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to answer every question, explain in detail, and make us feel completely confident and excited about what’s to come. If the experience so far is any indication, this will be an amazing venue once finished. We can’t wait to see the final result and highly recommend keeping this venue on your radar.

    The Orpheum is honestly one of the most beautiful spaces in Buena Vista. The room feels warm and intimate, and grand at the same time — the wood beams, layout, style, and unique history all come together to create an extraordinary place to host a celebration. The flow through the different spaces is really well thought out, and guests naturally relaxed and settled in. It felt elegant and inviting, and we absolutely loved the overall atmosphere. The team was also super responsive and helpful while we were considering options. This place is a real gem!
