West River House is an homage to a Vermont covered bridge and houses an art collection to create a museum-like experience with breathtaking views over Lake Dunlap. A dining area under the covered bridge has 25-foot high ceilings and provides a Harry Potter feel with interiors of the bridge designed using original barn wood. Pass to the lake side of the house and there is floor-to-ceiling glass, balconies, patios, and vestiges of Mid-century Modern masterpieces. The venue features four luxurious suites on massive balconies, two kitchens to make any chef jealous and a spectacular sound system in virtually every room. A new 4100 sq ft patio cantilevers over the edge of the lake with a 40’x40’ tent included in the deal for celebrations and dining lakeside. Access to a 100’ dock brings your celebration to the water for boating, kayaking and fishing.

The Old Mill Weddings & Events Center features architectural treasures such as light grained cathedral wood ceilings and beams, beautiful stained concrete floor, elegant wrought iron staircase, a splendid rustic centerpiece chandelier and of course the Old Mill Wheel, reminiscent of the origins of Gruene Texas. Our 12,000 sq ft facility can host weddings of varying sizes, from intimate gatherings to larger groups up to 350. Stainless steel prep tables, a large double door refrigerator and separate freezer are available for the caterer to utilize. Located in the reception barn, the space is centrally located so the caterers have easy access to all areas of the property during the event.
