I found Cocktail & Key while planning what may be the most important party our family will ever throw — a milestone birthday for a loved one with terminal cancer — so I took finding the right company incredibly seriously. I went down an almost comically deep rabbit hole researching some of the most impressive beverage companies from New York to California and everywhere in between. I found extraordinary craft cocktail companies, molecular mixologists, personalized drink printers, and beautiful espresso services — but there was always a compromise. Cocktail & Key was the ONLY company I found that somehow brought everything I was searching for together in one place.
What they can do with a drink is honestly unbelievable. They create beautiful craft cocktails with fresh ingredients while turning the drinks themselves into entertainment — smoke bubbles guests actually get to pop, dramatic smoking cloches, custom stamped ice, branded fruit and garnishes, and an actual drink printer that prints photographs directly into cocktail or latte foam (not just an edible photo topper!). And somehow, they also offer real espresso drinks and thoughtful zero-proof options. There is truly something special for every guest.
What impresses me even more is that none of it feels like spectacle for spectacle’s sake. Krystal cares just as much about making something taste incredible as she does about creating the moment that makes everyone around the bar pull out their phones. It isn’t a bar with a few tricks added — the beverage experience itself becomes part of the entertainment.
And Krystal herself is brilliant. She is wildly creative, thoughtful, patient, and an absolute professional. The more I researched her work, the more obvious it became how respected she is in Nashville’s event world — Cocktail & Key seems to be part of so many incredible high-profile events. After talking with her, I completely understood why. She has every detail down to a science, and somehow has the equipment, resources, relationships, and endless creative possibilities already at her fingertips.
Maybe best of all, she makes something incredibly elaborate feel incredibly easy. Instead of spending hours coordinating multiple specialty vendors and piecing everything together yourself, Krystal can bring the entire vision together. I came to her with a pretty ambitious wish list, and rather than making me feel difficult or pushing me toward a generic package, she immediately understood what I was trying to create and started thinking of ways to make it even better.
Her pricing is also beyond fair. I encountered companies charging considerably more while offering not even a fraction of the creativity, customization, or experience Cocktail & Key offers. Finding Cocktail & Key genuinely felt like striking gold.
After researching this category to an admittedly absurd degree, I could not find anyone else combining all of these things at this level. Most event bars are a service guests use during a party. Cocktail & Key becomes part of the party itself — and it’s the part you can practically guarantee your guests will still be talking about years later.
