Simple bar service, done damn well. Designed for celebrations up to 125 guests with up to 6 hours of service. Includes 2 professional bartenders, liability insurance, bar tools and pre-event planning. We’ll proudly serve bottled or canned beer and seltzers, wine and basic mixed drinks while keeping your bar moving and your guests taken care of. You provide the alcohol, mixers, ice, cups and supplies—we bring the people, planning and hospitality.

    Working with Straight Up Sideways for our wedding bar was such a great choice. From our first conversation, they were responsive and easy to work with, making the whole planning process smooth. Yes, our minimum Service Package starts at $895.
We recommend scheduling two meetings. The first meeting will focus on finalizing menus and headcount, while the second will address the final venue details and wedding logistics. Your package includes one hour of consultation, and we can conduct these meetings via email, Zoom, FaceTime, or text, based on your preference.
We will create a customized menu tailored to your event and provide you with a curated shopping list. While we are unable to purchase alcohol on your behalf, we will be pleased to serve you and your guests during the event.
We proudly serve all of Minnesota, parts of Wisconsin, Iowa, Tennessee, North Dakota & South Dakota.
Guest Supported Gratuity Policy For guest-supported gratuity events, a minimum gratuity of $250 per bartender is required. Guests are welcome to tip throughout service; however, should the minimum gratuity amount not be met by the conclusion of the event, the remaining balance will be billed directly to the host immediately following the event. Example: • 2 Bartenders = $500 minimum gratuity • 3 Bartenders = $750 minimum gratuity This policy helps ensure fair compensation for our bartending staff while still allowing guests the opportunity to contribute voluntarily throughout service.
For summer and fall weddings, we recommend at least 10 months in advance.
Travel is part of the experience, and we keep it simple. Your Straight Up Sideways service includes the first 150 round-trip miles—approximately 75 miles each way. Beyond 150 round-trip miles, travel is billed at $0.70 per additional mile. For events requiring extended travel, early arrival or late-night departure, overnight accommodations may be required for our team. Any additional travel or lodging costs will be clearly outlined in your proposal before booking—no surprise fees, just a well-planned bar team ready to get a lil’ bit sideways wherever your celebration takes us.
Your booking will be considered confirmed once both parties have read, agreed to, signed, and returned the contract within the specified timeframe. A deposit amounting to 50% of your personalized package and any add-ons must also be received within this period. Once these conditions are met, you will receive an email confirming your booking and providing additional information. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 calendar days before the event. If final payment is not received by this deadline, your booking will be canceled immediately.
No. Straight Up Sideways does not sell alcohol or operate traditional cash bars. We are a mobile bartending service, meaning alcohol is purchased and provided by the host, while our team handles the planning, setup and professional service. We’ll help you determine exactly what to purchase based on your guest count, menu and drinking preferences so you’re not left guessing. This structure gives you more control over your bar budget, keeps things simple, and allows us to focus on what we do best—creating an incredible bar experience for you and your guests.
