Plan to Party

5.0

  • Planner
  • Offers 5 services
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Montrose, SD

I believe every bride deserves to have a bit of magic on their wedding day. A fairy godmother, cheerleader, and best friend by their side. I’ll be right by your side throughout the day to fill all those roles, allowing your friends and family to celebrate in the moment with you. Helping modern couples plan an exceptional & memorable wedding through impeccable attention to detail & by exceeding expectations.

We hired Plan To Party for month-of coordination and it was the best decision we could have made! Even though I'm a planner and super organized, Jennifer and Emily thought of things I hadn't even thought of. They helped with coordination of all our vendors for day-of, helped with set up, creating the event schedule, clean-up, and did so many things behind the scene! If there was an issue, I had no idea! My husband and I were able to fully enjoy the day and I'm forever thankful for Plan To Party for truly making the magic of the day happen! If you're debating hiring a wedding planner or coordinator, just do it! Best decision of the wedding, besides saying "I do" ;)

The Canton Barn was the perfect venue for our wedding! From start to finish, the communication with Tyler and Courtney was great - they responded quickly to emails and phone calls, and provided detailed answers to all of our questions. The venue itself is gorgeous, with beautiful rustic charm inside the barn and sprawling green fields outside that made for a stunning backdrop. All of our guests raved about what a wonderful venue it was, with cozy seating areas inside to mingle and a huge outdoor space where we had our dance with spots for lawn games and a bonfire. The value can't be beat - for the reasonable price and the flexibility to bring in our own vendors. I can't recommend The Canton Barn enough if you're looking to have a South Dakota weeding venue that really wows!

Flower and oak were absolutely amazing. They showed up extremely early for our event and we had the highest premium package ordered for the day. We had a couple specific shoot ideas for THE GROOMSMEN and the minute I walked in the front door. I was greeted by both videographers With all kinds of cool camera gear and they told us exactly what to do and there was no time wasted. I highly recommend flower and oak to anyone looking at getting married soon. The one thing I don’t regret about our wedding day is using them because they were so great. Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Florist
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Montrose, SD

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
If you really want to save money on florals, then go with Flower Moxie! Just a heads up, IT IS A LOT OF WORK, but they give you very clear email instructions of what to expect and there are MANY resources they provide through articles, videos, etc. I was mistaken in thinking that all I would have to do is arrange flowers in vases. You are actually cutting, cleaning and processing everything. We refused to spend money on flowers through a florist, but with Flower Moxie, we were able to incorporate some florals for a very reasonable price!

The Faux Bouquets

5.0

  • Florist
  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Montrose, SD

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
I was so impressed with The Faux Bouquets for our wedding! Brittany, the owner, was incredibly quick to respond, thorough in her communication, and had such a friendly and fun personality. She really went above and beyond to make sure we got the perfect faux floral arrangements for our big day. The quality of their work is truly unique and you can tell they are so passionate about what they do. We were able to take advantage of a special deal on the flowers I wanted, and they even upgraded some of the pieces for free! Compared to other faux floral companies in the area, we were able to get much more for our money. I'm so glad I took the time for the 15 minute consultation with Brittany - it was so helpful to see the items at scale and she customized our order perfectly. Our wedding is not until 2027 but we got them early and I LOVE them. I also like that the suites aren’t cookie cutter so each of my bridesmaids have their own style.

I met Edgar, the owner of Anchor Studios several years ago when we both lived in Houston, TX. We met because I had just finished my degree and was looking for a photographer - he actually took my graduation photos! When it finally came time to book our wedding photography, I knew I wanted to go with him - no questions. His communication style is open and easy. He is responsive to all questions and requests which made the planning process a breeze. The quality of his work is truly top-notch, with beautifully curated photos that captured all the special moments of our wedding day. He is incredibly accommodating and guided us through every step of the way. He didn't hesitate when I even asked him to travel out to California for the wedding. It was awesome to have someone who is like an old friend and has seen us grow over the years capture our special day. Edgar, Anchor Studios Photography, was the perfect addition to our wedding day, and we couldn't be happier with the memories they've preserved for us.

Our wedding felt like it went by in five minutes, I swear. I was worried I’d forget so much, but the photos and video bring it all back every time I look at them. They captured moments I didn’t even notice were happening. My husband laughing with his friends, my mom tearing up, the flower girl dancing like crazy. The pictures are gorgeous but what really got me was the video. The way they pieced it together with the music was just unreal. It felt like watching a movie but it was OUR movie. I couldn’t believe how natural we all looked, nothing staged or fake. Even the shots of us walking around outside look like something from a magazine. This is honestly the best gift we’ll ever have from our wedding.

Hi, I’m Isaac. In my world, light is everything. The cool ambient hues at dawn, hinting at what the day may bring. Golden sun rays catching particles through a tree as friends gathers to celebrate. A Cotton candy sunset peppered by patio string-lights as a DJ plays my favorite song. We all have timeless memories logged in our minds. For me, they are based in a language of light. As a wedding photographer, this deep connection to special lighting helps me produce dynamic visual stories of romance, personality and beauty.

Awarded Best of Zola
A few things that stood out the most about Isaac were how responsive he was, how he was able to accommodate to our budget, and how he took pictures from angles and views that turned out great on the photos. As a couple with demanding careers, I much appreciated how quickly Isaac was with replying to emails. We had a pretty tight budget, and Isaac was able to offer us a package that landed pretty close to our budget and only had the items that we needed the most (mini engagement photoshoot for the website and wedding day). Our ask for him was to get some candid shots as we feel pretty awkward in front of the camera. I personally think that the wedding day pictures came out more naturally because of the setting being surrounded with friends and families, and Isaac and Sushen did a great job capturing the candid moments beautifully. Isaac even had an idea for me to pose by climbing up a wooden stair ladder for a shot that I honestly wasn't sure how it was going to turn out while doing it, but it ended up turning out beautiful and magazine-like in addition to other ones that he asked us to pose for. Isaac put together a behind the scenes video that also showed the reactions of guests to our photo place cards before we had entered the reception area, and this was lovely in that we got to see our guests' reactions that we weren't able to see.
