About Pink Tie Events

Pink Tie Events

Day of Coordinator

I’m Courtney Siemonsma, and I believe your only job on your wedding day should be showing up and feeling celebrated. Born and raised right here in Sioux Falls, I work full-time for my family-owned painting business where I learned early on that the magic is in the details and the hard work happens behind the scenes. For the last five years, I’ve worked as an assistant for one of the top event planning companies in the area, learning the high-end standards of the industry from the inside out.

I founded Pink Tie Events because I believe DIY brides deserve the best of both worlds. I bring the work ethic of a family business and the expertise of a professional coordinator to your wedding day. I’ve got the clipboard, the experience, and the drive to make sure your only job is being the guest of honor.

In three words: Confident, Empathetic, Supportive

Working with Pink Tie Events was such a relief from start to finish. Courtney is genuinely knowledgeable about weddings and made the whole process feel simple and stress-free. We had multiple planning meetings where she made sure we were completely aligned on every detail, and it showed on our wedding day. She handled the setup, breakdown, and everything in between so my family and I could actually enjoy the celebration instead of worrying about logistics. I didn't have to think about a single thing because Courtney had it all covered. I would 100% recommend Pink Tie Events to any couple looking for a day of coordinator!

    Amazing Experience!

Working with Pink Tie Events was such a joy from start to finish. Courtney brought so much energy and enthusiasm to every single planning meeting, and she genuinely cared about making our day special. What really stood out was how she handled everything behind the scenes. She was there through setup, the ceremony, and even after the reception to help tear down, all while keeping an eye on both the big picture and tiny details we didn't even think about. During the reception, she went out of her way to grab us a cake box so we could take home leftovers, which was such a thoughtful touch. She was so focused and determined that I honestly had no idea if anything went wrong because she fixed it before we even noticed. Pink Tie Events went above and beyond what we expected, and we couldn't have asked for a better partner for our wedding day.

Courtney is AMAZING. We decided to have a micro wedding 3 weeks in advance & with 3 weeks to plan, she pulled off my dream wedding!! She helped me perfectly capture the moody essence I was going for & I didn’t have to use a single braincell all day. She ensured everything was smooth — from prepping, hair, decor, schedule, everything was taken care of for me. She caters to what you & your spouse are looking for & she GENUINELY cares about you having your dream day.

We recommend booking 6 to 12 months in advance, especially if you are getting married during peak wedding season (May through October). However, since we focus specifically on day-of coordination, we can sometimes accommodate shorter timelines or last-minute bookings if your date is still open on our calendar. Reach out as soon as you have your venue secured!
Yes, we do! While we are based in Sioux Falls, we love traveling to venues across South Dakota and neighboring areas. Travel within 30 miles of Sioux Falls is included in our standard packages. For venues outside of this radius, a standard mileage fee applies, and overnight accommodations may be required depending on the distance and timeline of your event.
Yes. To officially secure your wedding date on our calendar, we require a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer fee. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your wedding date.
A full wedding planner builds your wedding from the ground up—picking venues, hiring vendors, and designing the event. As Day-of Coordinators, we are here for the DIY couples who have done the planning themselves! You design the vision and book the vendors; we step in to execute your hard work. We are the boots on the ground so you can actually relax and enjoy it.
Although it’s called "day-of" coordination, our work starts well before the big day! We officially step in 6 weeks before your wedding. We’ll schedule a detailed handover meeting to review all your contracts, finalize your timeline, and take over communication with your vendor team so you can spend your final month celebrating instead of stressing.
Yes! Helping bring your DIY vision to life is what we do best. We handle the setup of your personal decor elements (centerpieces, welcome signs, guest books) based on our planning meetings. We can assist with packing them up at the end of the night for additional fees. Please note that heavy lifting (like moving tables or large furniture) must be handled by your venue or rental team.
Absolutely. Creating a detailed timeline is one of our most important (and favorite, if I'm being honest) tasks! During our handover meeting, we walk through your entire day from hair and makeup to the grand exit. We distribute this master schedule to your vendor team and wedding party. On the day of, we keep everyone on track so you never have to look at a clock.
This depends on the size and complexity of your wedding. For standard events with up to 150 guests at a single location, one lead coordinator is usually perfect. For larger weddings, multiple locations (e.g., separate ceremony and reception venues), or complex room flips, an assistant coordinator will be added to your package to ensure everything runs flawlessly.
100% yes. Once we take over 6 weeks out, we become the primary point of contact for your entire vendor team. We introduce ourselves, confirm arrival times, and answer their final questions. On the wedding day, they come directly to us with any issues. You won't have to field a single vendor phone call while getting your hair and makeup done!
