The former home of cook-your-own-steaks, Old Oaks Steak House, south of Milan, has been transformed into Old Oaks Winery. The rear of the property contains several acres of now-mature vineyards, which are producing the grapes for Old Oaks wine. Our vision has always been to bring a Napa feel back to the Midwest. Old Oaks Winery has a tasting room and event space for more than 200.

Immerse yourself in the beauty of Iowa’s countryside. The sparkling white gambrel barn overlooks fields, timber and two ponds. Our temperature controlled Ballroom comfortably seats up to 362 guests, on the wooden farmhouse-tables and black cross-back chairs we provide. Grab a drink at our fully staffed bar, and take it outside onto the patio, where your guests will enjoy taking in the fresh air.

This beautiful venue is located just 2 miles off I-90, but feels a world away from everything. The 48 acres of private property is full of majestic 100 year old oak trees and a 1/2 acre pond. Take a stroll across the bridge over a hidden creek to an island, or along the 2 miles of manicured trails through the woods. The little yellow barn is a beautiful, rustic treasure that can host your reception. Located on the property is an amazing house that has a bridal suite for getting ready. This 3 bedroom, 3 bath accommodations sleeps 10 and is perfect for the bride and her bridesmaids to stay overnight before the wedding and get ready the day of. The spacious decks overlook the pond and the venue in a luxurious and relaxing environment. Our venue limits the amount of weddings we do in a weekend to make sure that you have a unique and special experience. At the Barn at Brophy Creek, we are a family run business on a fourth generation farm. Running along the edge of Brophy Creek, the farm was purchased in the 1950's by my grandfather who immigrated from Germany and worked the farm as a hired man when he was 18 years old. The next generation took over and my dad began farming the land. My husband and I moved into the farmhouse where we raised our 4 beautiful children. I’ve stayed on this acreage my entire life. It is my history. Eventually, my dad retired and the buildings began to deteriorate. I knew we had to save these historic buildings and share them with the community, so we got creative and dreamed up the wedding and event venue that Brophy Creek is today. Luckily, my husband is able to take the dreams and visions I have in my head and make them reality. In 2015 we began dreaming it up, tearing it apart, and rebuilding - we've put our lives into this space.
