Hello! I'm Jillian, I have been baking since childhood. In the early days, I was always the girl who made cupcakes for friends and provided sweet treats for holidays and parties. Baking remained a hobby for me as I pursued an education in massage therapy and developed coffee-making and customer service skills at the local Starbucks. I started growing the idea of Rose & Petal Cakery in 2019 in the midst of the pandemic. I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received and continue to receive; from repeat customers to the new & intrigued!

While we’re most known for our authentic crepes, we also offer authentic Liege-style waffles, croques madame and monsieur and of course good quality coffee and coffee drinks; our cappuccinos and espressos are top notch! In addition, we offer various European pastries such as the decadent Gallette Des Rois, madeleines, cute colored macarons, ham and cheese puff rolls, and much more. Natacha Legein, the chef/owner is originally from Belgium and the Congo and as such grew up on French cuisine.

I’m Schantel, owner of Maxine Baked. I’m a wife, daughter, sister, friend, and baking enthusiast. My love for cake is homegrown through countless hours spent working side by side, in the kitchen, with my grandmother. Grammie Maxine, keeper of my family, was and remains my biggest influence. She was a woman who took absolute pleasure in preparing homemade meals and desserts for her family. Her baking in particular, was always from scratch and made with the utmost love and care. I am a small, one woman-operated home bakery that specializes in custom buttercream cakes and macarons for birthdays, engagement parties, and small weddings. I began as a cake artist in 2020 and have fallen in love with creating realistic buttercream flowers and piping vintage-style Lambeth cakes.

Hello friends! I’m a nonbinary (they/them) artist, cat parent, and first-time business owner. I derailed my 4-year college plan to work in a restaurant and then attend pastry school - which is how I landed in Rhode Island. I needed a field that was both regimented and creative and pastry delivered! I’ve baked in Providence for over 6 years, and I couldn’t imagine ever leaving the incredible network of small food businesses that I’ve been welcomed into. Every cake and frosting is made by me, from scratch - no fondant in my kitchen! My favorite designs are those that capture the personalities and passions of my incredible clients.
