Artiva Strings is a string quartet based in Utah Valley, known for bringing elegance and energy to weddings, private events, and special occasions across the state! Formed in 2020, our quartet has played at countless venues throughout the valley. Our members—Kaitlin Booth (cello), Annalicia Loveridge (violin), Caitlyn Curry (viola), and Rebecca Dalgleish (violin)—first connected at school while working toward BA and MM degrees. The Proper Way began when multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriters Shane Osguthorpe and Scott Rogers met while playing a local festival. They established themselves as The Proper Way in 2016, when a promoter invited them to come for a series of shows in Lake Tahoe. After touring nonstop for two years, the band joined forces with friend and fellow singer-songwriter Carrie Myers to release Ain't No Good Thing Ever Dies, a collection of songs by Bob Dylan and Tom Waits, in 2018. The musical connection with Myers was so obvious, and they had so much fun performing and recording as a trio, that Myers joined the band shortly afterwards.

Bassist and bandleader Josh Levine got his start in the professional music business busking in SoHo with The Flying Neutrinos in ’93, so when NYC shut down in Spring of 2020, he capitalized on his experience as a street performer and began to play regularly in the parks of NYC with percussionist and sonero, Jainardo Batista, renowned flutist Itai Kriss making his debut on Cuban trés guitar, and María Raquel on vocals and minor percussion. Before long, the quartet had generated some buzz, several venues hired them to play outdoors and pianist Gabriel Chakarji and Grammy winning flutist and vocalist Jeremy Bosch became staples of the group.
