Here are a few fun facts about me! I grew up on my family's farm outside of Winfield, IA and had THE BEST childhood growing up in a loving family with my two younger sisters. My husband, Kolton, and I started dating back in 2010 when he was a senior and I was a junior. After high school I attended Western Illinois University where I earned my Bachelors in Graphic Design with a minor in Photographic Media. While in college I was blessed to have a photographer back home take me under her wing and be her second shooter for weddings (Shoutout to Billi Gerling, Photographic Memories!).

In 1972, 70-year-old Ben Vanderhook tore down old barns in Mahaska County and surrounding counties to create our beautiful barn, located a stone’s throw south of Oskaloosa, Iowa. The 3½ acre property includes a 147×46×60 Quonset hut barn, open fields as well as mature shade trees. Debbie’s Celebration Barn is one of the most extraordinary and romantic settings for a Midwest wedding or special event. The event space in the barn is spacious with many options for originality to fit your occasion.
