Meyer’s Castle is such a hidden gem—you’d never expect to find a place like this in the Midwest! I’ve had the chance to shoot two weddings here, and both times were such a dream. The venue itself is stunning and feels like a little escape from the everyday. But what really makes it stand out is the team. The staff is always so kind and helpful, especially Kate—not just with the couples, but with us vendors too, which honestly makes the day run so much smoother. I can’t wait for the next time I get to come back and create more magic within those castle walls. Forever a fan of this place.

My husband and I had the most perfect wedding at The Barn and Vineyard in June 2023! I cannot say enough about how helpful the staff was, especially Amy, Joe, and Kyle, leading up to our wedding day. Amy was available to answer all of our questions and had prompt, detailed replies each time. Joe served as our DJ and he made sure our ceremony ran smoothy and he kept our guests having fun on the dance floor all night! Kyle served as our caterer and we are still receiving compliments on our food. He also created delicious food for our rehearsal dinner, pre-wedding snacks, cocktail hour, and late night pizza. The outdoor space in the vineyard was breathtaking and served as the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony as well as pictures! The indoor space was perfect for our reception. Our guests truly enjoyed the space and complimented how unique it was having indoor space, outdoor space, and an upstairs area for the younger guests to have fun! We also rented the cigar bar as a unique feature, which was a huge hit! The rental of the photo booth was also a hit with our guests all night long. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day, and most of that is thanks to the venue and their staff! Also, it was wonderful that The Barn and Vineyard is a family owned and run business who takes pride in providing extraordinary care for their clients, plus the option to hire family members as the DJ and chef was so convenient and both are beyond talented at what they do! I would recommend The Barn and Vineyard to any couples looking for a perfect combination of outdoor and indoor space for their wedding! If you want staff who is available to answer your questions, provide you feedback, and wants to make your day perfect, look no further!

i got married May 25th, 2024 at the design barn! from the food to the space itself to Alex (coordinator)…everything was perfect. this wedding venue was the first one we looked at when we were hunting but NOTHING came close to the design barn. its charm and decor fit perfect with my vision and made pictures perfect. its now 4 months later after the wedding and we STILL get the best compliments of having the best food people have ever had at a wedding (yes the short rib ravioli is THAT good-thanks Chef!) i love the space 1) for the men to get ready because that was very important to have everyone together the day of and 2) having two bars meant no waiting for drinks so everyone can get back to the dance floor and enjoy the night! i recommend this place x 100 for anyone wanting a stress-free, gorgeous day or night of celebration! We had our wedding reception at Silver Lake Country Club and were thrilled with our experience from start to finish. Amy and her team were amazing to work with - efficient and personal in their communication, helping us every step of the way as we planned our big day. The venue itself is beautiful and surprisingly affordable for being so close by. Amy talked us through what to expect and then she and her crew helped decorate the space perfectly. Janine and the rest of the Silver Lake staff were also fantastic during the event itself. The venue was the ideal backdrop for our reception and Amy's guidance made our wedding flow smoothly. We're so grateful to the entire Silver Lake team for helping create such special memories on our wedding day.
