This beautiful venue is located just 2 miles off I-90, but feels a world away from everything. The 48 acres of private property is full of majestic 100 year old oak trees and a 1/2 acre pond. Take a stroll across the bridge over a hidden creek to an island, or along the 2 miles of manicured trails through the woods. The little yellow barn is a beautiful, rustic treasure that can host your reception. Located on the property is an amazing house that has a bridal suite for getting ready. This 3 bedroom, 3 bath accommodations sleeps 10 and is perfect for the bride and her bridesmaids to stay overnight before the wedding and get ready the day of. The spacious decks overlook the pond and the venue in a luxurious and relaxing environment. Our venue limits the amount of weddings we do in a weekend to make sure that you have a unique and special experience. This is a family business and we are passionate about making sure you have an incredible wedding day!

In 2000, Steven Nissen planted the first vines of what now has become a thirteen acre vineyard. The dream of Prairie Moon is to grow high quality grapes to create fine estate wines in the Midwest. With the unique growing season and agricultural environment, we believe our products reflect the ideal native Iowan wine. Among the acreage, there are many grape varieties. The luscious rows host hybrid and native American grapes that provide beautiful tastes to the palate. Prairie Moon encourages everyone to support Iowa wineries, alongside all local businesses!

The former home of cook-your-own-steaks, Old Oaks Steak House, south of Milan, has been transformed into Old Oaks Winery. The rear of the property contains several acres of now-mature vineyards, which are producing the grapes for Old Oaks wine. Our vision has always been to bring a Napa feel back to the Midwest. Old Oaks Winery has a tasting room and event space for more than 200.

With the Eagle’s Ledge as your venue, you can spend more time focusing on enjoying the special day. The Eagle’s Ledge is located within an isolated rural area. The venue has the convenience of being close to high-traffic areas with a country feel. The area offers picturesque backdrops that offer the perfect photoshoot location.

The Buchanan House Mansion built in 1883 is now placed on the rolling his of the Buchanan House Winery and Vineyard. In 2009, the mansion was scheduled to be demolished. The Weaver Family of Tipton, sad to see it go, purchased the mansion and later moved it 7 miles to its new location. Now the mansion is the perfect place to host a small event for up to 40 guests. The 19-acre vineyard and garden make a beautiful place to host an outdoor ceremony and reception. All of our wine is made in the basement of the mansion and tasting room. Host an event at Buchanan House and have the choice of 30+ red, white, bubbly, sparkling, and port-style wines.

Our 1850's rustic barn is the perfect place for a one-of-a-kind wedding. How I wish our ancestors could see the old barn and corn crib that we converted into an Event Center, Tasting Room and Winery. Hold your wedding in our 4000 square foot Event Center or at our outdoor wedding shelter surrounded by 3 acres of beautifully landscaped yard and towering trees.
