Our sister found this place and did a virtual tour and from the very first moment we saw Lauxmont Farms, we knew this place was special, but what we experienced exceeded every expectation we had. The venue is undeniably breathtaking, but it’s the people who made it unforgettable. Every single staff member was warm, kind, and genuinely invested in our day. The decorator went above and beyond in ways I’ll never forget, hanging décor from the tent ceiling and making our vision come to life with such care. Our day-of coordinator, Ally, and our attendant, Brandon, were incredible. They were attentive, calm, thoughtful, and detail oriented in every possible way. From our first visit to our final moments on the property on our wedding day, we felt supported, cared for, and truly celebrated. Lauxmont didn’t just host our wedding, it gave us an experience we will cherish for a lifetime. If I could give more than five stars, I would. 1000/10.

First of all, what a gorgeous venue! We had our wedding reception in the crystal ballroom and it was beautiful. The Eden staff worked seamlessly with our vendors to ensure everything went smoothly. I can’t say enough how helpful Megan Supeck was in our planning process. She was so communicative and transparent. She seemed as happy as we were about our wedding! From beginning to end, she went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. We also enjoyed staying in the Paradise Suite the night of the wedding. They had a bottle of champagne read for us when we got to the room and complimentary breakfast the next morning. I was so stressed with wedding planning, but Megan and her team really put me at ease.

The Barn of Nottingham was the most perfect wedding venue my husband and I could have chosen. Mallory was absolutely amazing and helped out so much throughout the process. Her and her team made the days leading up to and the day of the wedding so much easier. We chose to do the full weekend package and it was the best decision ever! We were able to treat the whole weekend as a little get away for my husband and I, along with our wedding parties. Having the venue the whole weekend made setting up decorations so much easier and less stressful. The venue, from the house, to outside, to inside the barn, was absolutely stunning. The rustic feel was exactly what we wanted on our wedding day. Being able to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at one location was amazing. Having a space for both my husband and his groomsmen, along with my bridesmaids and I to get ready in the day of was perfect. My husband and I could not have picked a better venue to get married at. I 100% recommend the barn of Nottingham!

Chef didn’t wince once we submitted a request for a special 5 course wine dinner for our reception. He took our ideas and truly made our tasting experience at the club wonderful. We had a great experience having our reception at the Hilton. The food was amazing and it ran so smoothly (we also had a day of planner not part of the Hilton staff). Many of our guests were traveling and had nothing but good things to say about the hotel and the restaurants in the hotel. We had an issue with our limo transportation and they volunteered one of their airport shuttles to take the groomsman and groom over to our ceremony venue, which was so nice of them. They really will go above and beyond to make sure it's a great day for you!

First off, online photos do NOT do this venue justice. We looked at Applecross last August and from the moment we walked in, we knew this was our venue. It is absolutely beautiful and the directer, Susie, made us feel so comfortable and at ease during the whole process. She answered any questions I had and that really showed that she cared about her couples. I’m SO happy we went with Applecross! The day of our wedding, everything went PERFECTLY! I owe that to Susie, her assistant Heather, the Gardens At Applecross staff and all of our vendors! I did not have to worry about a thing. Our guests all commented on how the venue was beautiful and the food was amazing! I truly couldn’t have asked for a better day! So if you’re thinking about Applecross as your wedding venue, DO IT! You will NOT be disappointed! OH! They were also pet friendly, which really won us over! If we had to do it all over again, I’d pick Applecross in a heartbeat!

We were a little late in finding a venue for our wedding but so happy we found a late fall opening with Strock Enterprises on their beautiful farm in Mechanicsburg. Kurt Strock and his team made the process super easy and walked us through all of our questions. Their option for having us provide some of our table top decorations while using some of their decorations helped the budget along. The food was amazing and Kurt's Dad (original Farm owner/operator) is superb at his barbeques - we had a full pig roast and barbeque steak). Would highly recommend.

The Manor at Mountain View

Harrisburg, PA
  • Up to 325 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $3,400

The Manor at Mountain View was the perfect find for the owners. The rustic feel with modern-day conveniences was a must. But, what was also a must was to have a venue that the word beautiful could not even describe it but, yet to keep it affordable so that so many people could come and enjoy this spectacular piece of property. The Tavern (Groom's Tavern) has its original barn beams as this was at one time a bank barn. The rustic charm matches the rod iron chandeliers in the room leading to the tavern. In 2007 the former owners built an addition to the facility that speaks volumes, equipped with windows throughout to show off the amazing view... It really is breathtaking. Today the owners have renovated all the rooms in the building but, kept the rustic charm. It brings the family great joy to see so many people happy when they visit the property and to be able to share so many events with the individuals that rent the property is a joy that is indescribable.

  • Dressing room available

  • No free parking
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic

Stokesay Castle is truly a dream venue, not just because of its breathtaking scenery, but because of its incredible staff. When we first toured the venue the manager, Luis, welcomed us like family. He took the time to explain all the packages available and even adjusted his recommendations to match our guest count, and never pushed us toward anything we didn’t need. He also shared helpful budget-friendly tips to make our day even more special and affordable. When we returned a second time for a renovation event, Luis remembered us instantly, greeting us with a big hug and even gave a personal tour, which expressed how much the staff genuinely care about their guests. Later, we had the pleasure of working with the new director, Dara, who went above and beyond to guide us through every step of the wedding-planning process. Whether it was through phone calls, emails, or in-person meetings, she made sure we had everything we needed. She was very polite and informative and always had a smile on her face. On our wedding day, she checked in with us multiple times throughout the day to ensure every detail went smooth and perfect. When talking about the food, all I have to say is it was absolutely phenomenal. Stokesay Castle’s menu offered a variety of delicious options, and while we had to narrow down our wedding-day menu, we also got to sample the rest at our rehearsal dinner the night before. Everything we tried was outstanding. The castle building itself is the perfect blend of modern elegance as well as old-time medieval appeal. It has stunning scenery, a beautiful outdoor ceremony area, snd spacious getting-ready rooms for both bride and groom. The gorgeous grand ballroom comfortably accommodated our 112 guests with room to spare, and it was everything we envisioned. Each time I visited Stokesay Castle I fell in love with it all over again, and that’s when I knew it was the place for us.

I knew from the moment we ended our tour that DCC was the venue for us! Terri greeted us at the tour and walked us through their newly renovated ballroom. My guests are still raving 2 months later about the venue and the high quality dinner and deserts. They REALLY loved the food. My church ceremony was 45 minutes away, so my willingness to travel that far between ceremony and reception is a testament to have amazing DCC is. I wanted a venue were I was confident I wouldn't be worrying about any thing on my special day and DCC provided that. I was able to use their table numbers, glass vases, and back ground arch wish saved me those additional expenses/decisions to make. Terri also offered us a card box, but I opted to use my own so I could add a lock even though the box was securely placed by the sweetheart table. Decision fatigue is so real but with Terri I never had any worries about my reception. I last minute decided to have Sean Reilly, who sounds just like Frank Sinatra, sing during cocktail hour. It was no problem for them to have a dedicated space for him and assist him in his set up. Their flexibility, understanding, and positivity was amazing. The venue is large with a lot of space! The cocktail area is large and the ballroom is beautiful. None of my guests had to wait for drinks since the bar staff was super efficient. It rained a lot on my wedding day, but Terri was super prepared and explained to me the adjustments she would make in the placing of the decor. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Terri and DCC and recommend it to anyone getting married! We had so much fun and are so grateful for Terri and her team! Deerfield was the most perfect wedding venue. The staff went above and beyond to make our day special. From the start, Lizette was so helpful in making sure we had everything we needed during our planning process as well as leading up to the big day. On our wedding day, Ryan made sure that everything was going as planned and eliminated any stresses that I had. Would recommend this venue again and again!

Hockessin Memorial Hall was the perfect choice for our wedding day. Sara and the team were hands-on throughout the entire process, making sure every detail was just right, and their communication was punctual and direct. The venue itself is beautiful, and our guests could not stop raving about the food—honestly, it was some of the best we've ever had at a wedding. For the price, the value was excellent and everything felt premium without breaking the bank. We've already recommended the hall to several friends because we know they'll have the same incredible experience we did. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and team to make our day special.

We had the most perfect wedding day and that is largely thanks to the amazing staff and the beautiful venue at Meredith Manor! Frank and Mimi are the kindest, most thoughtful and helpful people ever; they know how to do their job and do it well. They made my husband and I feel so special and cared for in the many months leading up to our wedding during the planning phase, and most certainly on the day of as we celebrated. The food at Meredith Manor is amazing, they have such a great variety of cuisines and it was all so delicious. The gardens, grounds, and courtyards are all so scenic and perfect for photos, especially in the summertime, in our experience. Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Not for you if you're looking for a sleek and contemporary space
  • No on-site guest accommodations
We booked a tour with Cold Saturday Farm on a whim, but holy cow am I glad that we did! We met with Brittany on a pretty dreary day in the winter, and even then I could see the beauty in the venue. It truly is a blank canvas that you can really make your own. Plus, the venue checked all the boxes that were super important to us: onsite getting ready spaces for both us, free onsite parking, guest tables and chairs included, and access to the venue all day. For the price, it was a great value. Brittany did end up leaving Cold Saturday, and we do wish that had been proactively communicated to us, but her replacement, Meredith, was fantastic, especially because she started the week before our wedding (I'm pretty sure we were her first wedding at the venue). But she was incredibly helpful and friendly--we actually had guests come up to us and tell us how awesome she was! The only other thing I wish we had known ahead of time was that the getting ready room the guys used didn't have any furniture. It was still being worked on during our tours, so we didn't actually see the room until the day of. So the room may have furniture at some point. Overall, we loved Cold Saturday Farm. It is truly a hidden gem (none of our vendors have ever worked there before but all of them said they loved it), so I really love that it was a pretty unique and beautiful place to have our wedding.

I honestly can't say enough amazing things about The Antrim 1844 Hotel! We had the most incredible wedding experience here, and I'm so grateful we found this gem. We actually heard about Antrim from a coworker whose family had their wedding there last spring. It wasn't even on our radar before that, but now I can't imagine our wedding taking place anywhere else! During our planning process, we got to see so many different weddings they were hosting, and I was blown away by their unique ability to make everything from small intimate gatherings to expansive celebrations not just work, but work beautifully! They really know how to adapt to each couple's vision. Working with Jill was such a joy! She made the entire planning process feel effortless and actually fun. She was so flexible with all our changes and took the time to walk us through backup plans for weather, which gave us such peace of mind knowing we were covered no matter what. We got lucky with lovely weather and got married in their rose garden, and oh my goodness - it was so breathtakingly gorgeous that we barely needed to add any decorations! The natural beauty spoke for itself and created the most romantic, dreamy backdrop for our vows. Having so many family members and friends traveling to join us, the wedding weekend stay option was a game-changer! The complimentary breakfast for overnight guests was such a thoughtful touch - it meant everyone could wake up together and start each day without any stress about finding food. It really made the whole wedding weekend feel like one big family celebration. The bridal suite in the main mansion was absolutely perfect for getting ready! There was space for our entire wedding party plus my mom and friends to get ready together, and it provided the most beautiful backdrop for photos. We got so many stunning getting-ready shots in that gorgeous space! The food was absolutely delicious - both during our tasting and on the big day! Our guests are still raving about it. The team worked so seamlessly with all our other vendors too, making sure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of. We were thrilled about the veterans discount, which let us add some extra special touches like a dessert bar, upgraded appetizers, and shade canopies for the ceremony. They made it so easy to customize everything within our budget. Every single guest has told us what an amazing time they had, and we're already excited to come back for anniversaries! We've heard their holiday decorations are absolutely spectacular, so we're definitely planning a winter visit. If you're looking for a venue that combines stunning natural beauty, incredible service, amazing food, and a team that genuinely cares about making your day perfect, The Antrim 1844 Hotel is IT. We couldn't have asked for a more magical place to start our life together!

Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel

Welcome. At Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel you and your wedding guests are treated with world-class hospitality that transcends the expected and ordinary into the day you will never forget...

Why you'll love this venue

  • Offers convenient lodging options
  • Multiple event spaces
  • Has a glamorous vibe

Venue considerations

  • Limited cleanup and setup services
  • Lighting and sound are not included
  • No dedicated areas for getting ready
Our experience with the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel for our wedding was a bit mixed but overall great. Their communication style was sometimes delayed and we ended up working with a few different coordinators, but they always answered our questions thoroughly. The front desk staff were not the friendliest but the bellmen were all exceptional! The space itself was beautiful, though there were other events going on that day which caused some overlap between the two. Our whole wedding party had to pass around a holiday party, and a few of those people ended up at the reception, but I guess wedding crashers can always be expected. A few of our guests had issues with their hotel rooms as well. The bridal suite had a stain and needed to change, and they were able to immediately. All that said, Catherine, our main point of contact, was incredibly helpful, insightful, and went above and beyond to make sure our special day went smoothly. She assisted with everything and helped the day go smoothly. We even had some hiccups due to the biggest winter storm of the decade, but Catherine and her team were able to help us and help our guests extend their reservations. Overall, the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel provided a lovely venue.
