Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Lyndonville, VT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
Flower Moxie was a great floral vendor. Their wide range of diy tutorials was very helpful, and our florist helped us form a vision for our wedding flowers. We were very happy with how our flowers turned out, and proud we could have a hand in diy-ing this aspect of our wedding.

M's Wedding Flowers

5.0

  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Lyndonville, VT

M's Wedding Flowers is located in Moretown, VT and was founded by Emily Meade in 2016. After years of experience working under local florists and soaking up as much knowledge as possible, she felt it was time to pursue her dream of owning her own floral business.

Awarded Best of Zola
Emily was the most incredible florist to work with. I am personally not a creative person, but I do LOVE flowers. Real flowers were important to us from the beginning, but we didn’t have an extravagant budget. I was up front with Emily on our budget from the beginning and she helped bring our ideas to life, even when I couldn’t quite articulate what I was looking for. We did end up going a bit over our budget, but not because Emily recommended so, but because she was so easy to work with and I was so excited to bring her ideas in as much as we could. I do not have any regrets here. She created an absolutely stunning chuppah piece that brought our (rain plan) barn ceremony to life. The florals on the tables were the star of the reception with giant breathtaking peonies. And I can’t even express how perfect my bouquet was. I stated from the beginning a wanted a big, wild, and colorful bouquet and boy did she pull through. The men’s boutonnieres complimented the bouquets so well. She was sweet and always available when I wanted to chat through a new idea. Her communication was excellent, with timely check-ins, and easy and clear invoices for payment. I knew where every dollar spent was going, and am so glad we hired her for florals and set-up. Thank you, Emily!! We appreciate you spending your birthday setting up our wedding.

Wintertide Floral

5.0

  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Lyndonville, VT

My foundation in floral design began on a small flower farm in Vermont over 10 years ago, where I immersed myself in the full lifecycle of the work—planting, harvesting, and arranging blooms directly from the field. That experience shaped my style: deeply seasonal, textural, and guided by an intuitive understanding of form and color. My aesthetic is loose and intentional, layered with luxurious texture and touched by a sense of intentional wildness. A steward of sustainable design, I avoid floral foam and plastics, and aim to use local materials wherever I can to have the lightest footprint on our planet possible.

Wintertide Floral was a fantastic choice for our wedding florals. From the very first consultation, their communication was quick, clear, and thoughtful, helping us bring our vision to life. The arrangements they created were truly creative, with a focus on personalized, local, and sustainable florals that added so many beautiful, thoughtful touches throughout our special day. We were blown away by their attention to detail and their ability to transform our venue into something truly magical. Wintertide Floral's exceptional service and stunning work made them an invaluable part of our wedding celebration.

Christina is a local Vermonter who’s crafted wedding flowers for over 25 years. In 2015, Christina and her friend Cindy took the leap and started their own wedding floral business, A Blooming Affair. Some of Christina's most memorable weddings have been at the Lake Bomoseen Lodge, Mad River Barn, Smugglers Notch, Barn at Smuggs, Maquam Barn, Basin Harbor and Private Estates.

A Blooming Affair made our Vermont spring 2024 wedding so special and beautiful! Christina was a pleasure to work with the entire time, and nailed the vision I shared with her… springy, bouncy, garden party vibes. I am petite and wanted a bouquet that wouldn’t totally block my body and dress in photos, and would also fit under my blusher veil, and Christina nailed it! She was on-time, and the option to rent glassware and floating candles was so helpful for us. Thank-you, Christina!

Carmen George Weddings

5.0

  • Serves Lyndonville, VT

Growing up, I spend a lot of my childhood in the garden with my dad. We planted together. I fell in love with this natural world of sweet berries, fat toads, and giant tall yellow sunflowers. My love continues to this day with my own fruit trees and flower beds where, during the summer time, I grow dahlias, zinnias, sunflowers and lots of other wonderful flowers for weddings. I collect wildflowers in the woods and fields near my home.

Carmen was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our first conversation, they were friendly and creative. The floral arrangements Carmen created were dreamy, with a vibrant, colorful palette that perfectly matched the feel of our fall wedding. They went above and beyond, making special floral corsages for our mothers as a thoughtful gift, and even helped us transport our ceremony arch to the reception. We were thrilled with the final results and would recommend Carmen to any couple planning their big day!

Working with Naomi for our wedding florals was a DREAM and an exceptional experience from start to finish. We cannot recommend her and her team at Nectar and Vessel highly enough to other couples getting married. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Naomi and her team and giving her complete creative freedom. She took that freedom, and spun floral magic into the most beautifully designed space we have ever seen. Her love for florals, and for creating beautiful moments for others shines in her work - and isn’t that what you want on your wedding day? To be surrounded by love through flowers that all your guests can feel? That’s the magic Naomi brings to weddings that is impossible to replicate. The floral designs and artistry that Naomi and her team created for our day were simply stunning. Beyond being beautiful, they were unique and felt personal to us. It was the talk of the wedding that none of the guests had ever seen a display like the florals at our wedding, and that each tablescape and design felt like a work of art. A few things additional things about working with N&V we’d like to highlight: Design and vision: Naomi not only executed a vision for our wedding florals and design, she shaped it from the very beginning. The proposal powerpoint was a detailed mood board of not only the florals, but the overall vibe and design for the wedding. For the bride or groom, like me, who was overwhelmed with how to make a wedding feel cohesive, personal, and intentionally designed, trust in Naomi to help jump start that process and hire her as one of your early vendors. Flawless logistics and professionalism: Working with N&V was completely stress free because Naomi and her team are true professionals. She was respectful of our budget, had a clear, well-structured contract, and payment through her professional portal was incredibly easy. Everything was delivered, set-up, and cleaned up flawlessly and on-time. Importantly, if there were any issues day-of, we didn’t hear about it or take on any of that stress (though with her careful planning, I bet there weren’t any fires to put out!) While these sound like boring logistics, all of this professional preparation on N&V’s part saved us a ton of time and stress wedding planning. Positivity and good energy: Naomi herself is the warmest and most effusively positive person - that was clear from our very first consultation call with her and was even more true on the day of our wedding. We felt showered in positivity throughout our experience working with her, which is exactly what you want on your big day! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Nectar and Vessel, and specifically, Naomi and her wonderful team. Hire her early, trust her to work her magic and give her all the creative control, and then watch your wedding venue transform. • Serves Lyndonville, VT for additional fees

Garden inspired and organically styled floral arrangements for weddings and events- located north of Boston and servicing the New England area. Owner and artist Ashley has 11 years of design experience in the floral industry, along with a background in horticulture, and general love for all things natural and wild. Dazy Florals is dedicated to utilizing sustainable practices and beautiful locally grown blooms, New England season permitting.

Awarded Best of Zola
You don’t come across someone with this much dedication, passion, craftsmanship, knowledge, and genuine love for their art often. Ashley is truly gifted in all things florals, and every piece she made for me, including my trials, had my jaw drop and moved my family to tears. She puts her heart into every flower she tends to, and you can see it in the intricacies of her work. She’s an artist, and these are her little masterpieces. I’ve grown to respect florals on a new level thanks to her. She knows so much about each flower (even their science names!), how to pair textures, coordinate colors, balance shapes and sizes—she’s making a work of art. So in terms of honoring your vision and creating something magical, trust Ashley with your whole heart. Now comes to the administrative work. Just when I thought I couldn’t love Ashley more, she created slide deck presentations (oh yes, you read that right) on what I was looking for/my inspo, provided updated proposals every time I added something new to my ask, triple-checked any time I made a change, and was extremely communicative, professional, and responsive. My fastest vendor when it came to email. And I’ll admit, I wasn’t an easy client. I went from having no wedding party to having 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen. I went from no ceremony florals to decorating the whole aisle. (I couldn’t help myself since Ashley has such reasonable prices I could actually afford my dream florals, but also once again, my trials were so beautiful, I couldn’t resist). I changed colors, visions, ideas, and emailed her more times than I can count over the course of many months, and Ashley followed it to a T and kept track of it all. Ashley showed up to a walkthrough at my venue that was super far just to get to know the space and guide where florals would work best, taking notes, asking questions, and going above and beyond. She didn't need to do that for us. She did anyway. She kept up with all my asks and updates flawlessly. And on the day, she nailed every single item from boutonniere to bud vase. Side notes: I had a rosary blessed by the Pope for my wedding, and Ashley handled it with such respect, integrity, and reverence. That says a lot about a person. My mom, who has worked in florals and crafts for a long time, was speechless when she saw the work Ashley created. When she looked at the internal workings and weaving, she noted just how much time she must have spent handcrafting my floral crown. When I was walking out with my trial bouquet, I literally had a stranger stop me in my tracks to ask where on Earth I got such beautiful florals and if he can get some himself. Every time we met, Ashley would bring a little bouquet for me, which was such a cute gesture. I secretly dried all of them to keep. And finally, Ashley herself. She is caring, tender, sweet, creative, and extremely hardworking. We believe she is blessed by God Himself lol. (But actually, though. She has a gift.) Her talent is unbelievable. I had a special request for a floral crown, and it was THE talk of the night. People would come over and poke it because they couldn’t believe it was real. Ultimately, if there were more vendors like Ashley, there would be much happier, less stressed brides in the world. And if there were more people like Ashley in general, the world would be a better place. I will miss her. Enjoy her and her florals for me. Let them take your breath away, they will.

Eliza was the florist for our Jewish/Hindu wedding in late October in the Berkshires, and we cannot say enough wonderful things. She helped our vision truly come to life, but also gave guidance when needed which I appreciated. She created a custom mandap/chuppah and incorporated some personal family heirlooms which made it so special. Eliza is a true professional and also a lovely person to work with. She has a passion for sustainability and zero waste which was important to me when picking a florist. I highly recommend Boom & Bloom!!

Jenny and her team did a wonderful job making my unique, colorful vision a reality - Every descriptor I used for our bright hues, the movement I wanted in the blooms, and the ideas for their looking like they were growing right into the aisle and off the bars, Jenny took to heart and made happen. Her composure, communication, and professionalism made me worry the least about one of the most important elements of our day. Highly recommend for all your wedding floral and planning needs!
