Flowers & Friends

5.0

Pitman, PA

My passion for flowers and plants started when I was a child. Growing up in the middle of nowhere was the best thing to allow my imagination to flourish. The school day would end and I would be rushing off the bus to help my grandparents plant seedlings or pick the harvest from the garden. My parents had flower beds and brought the beautiful flowers inside to enjoy as well. I am passionate about being able to replicate flower gardens into a gorgeous design but also creating a unique design just for your day!

Flowers and Friends is hands down the best florist. Melissa is extremely friendly, patient, and kind. She worked with me to plan out all of the details for my wedding day, answered all my questions about what different types of flowers would look like, and even helped me to pick out coordinating linen colors. She has such a natural talent for floral arrangements and everything she creates is absolutely gorgeous. My wedding flowers were perfect and more beautiful than I could have imagined. Melissa took my ideas and ran with them, creating unique and beautiful arrangements. She even thought of small details like drying the stems of our bouquets and providing extra vases to display the bouquets at the reception. If you want a florist who does amazing work and is amazing to work with, Flowers and Friends is the one!

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

Picking Misha was definitely one of the smartest decisions I ever made. Even before I get to the absolutely GORGEOUS bouquets and decorations on the big day, she was there for me, easily answering all my questions and offering suggestions. As we got closer to the day, she was so thoughtful by checking in and providing conversation!! That was a big added perk to me, she felt less like a "vendor" (that almost sounds insulting / cold) and more of a friend :) I threw two major curveballs at her, one of them being asking to add petals (for throwing) a week before and the other being changing the ceremony site from an arch to a gazebo literally the afternoon before, and she took it all in stride. Talk about flexibility! While she was preparing the bouquets the day before the wedding, she sent me previews and that was amazing - other than the obvious one of not having to wait another day to see the pretty flowers, that meant I was able to offer input. And yet, I was still BLOWN AWAY when I saw the flowers in person!! They really elevated my venue from 0 to 101. She provided bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, ceremony flowers, cake flowers, flowers for the tables, repurposing, etc. And I didn't even ask for the corsages, she was just kind and thoughtful enough to make them with some flowers she had left over :) Everyone was telling us how beautiful everything was - it all looked like a dream! My officiant was so impressed that she asked for a business card. I also want to add: Misha's good for ALL flower styles. She markets herself as boho/woodsy and I believe that's her personal favorite style, but my wedding went with more bright / traditional (maybe even boring haha) flowers and she delivered beautifully! If what you're going for looks slightly different to what you see on her pages, don't let that stop you - I'm 100% sure Misha will be able to get it how you want it. Misha is more than just flowers and I'm sooooo lucky and glad that I went with her.

Nicole absolutely surpassed our expectations and made our dream wedding florals even better than we had ever imagined. Her and her amazing team were so efficient and they were the hardest working vendors we dealt with throughout our whole process. From beginning to end, Nicole made the process of designing and planning our florals such an easy and pleasant experience. We got married in big field under a tree and had our reception in a massive barn with 20 foot ceilings - we were overwhelmed by the large spaces and had a hard time envisioning how to make them feel cozy and intimate. Nicole did that and more with her designs! We and all of our guests were blown away with our ceremony and reception floral designs and I can’t recommend nicole and her team at Moonwake Meadow enough!!! 100/10!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

    5.0

    Oklahoma City, OK
    • Serves Jim Thorpe, PA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Doing our own wedding flowers was the best choice my daughter made for her wedding, other than choosing the groom of course. You do have to commit some time in the days before the wedding but it is so worth it. There are so many video tutorials to watch that you feel like an expert. They don't leave you high and dry after you purchase either. They are in contact with you to make sure everything is going good. That was very helpful. The memories we made together by making our own flower arrangements and bouquets using Flower Moxie was priceless. It also looked like we spent a fortune on flowers because we had so many extra (they give you more than you need to account for some loss) that we had flowers everywhere as extra decoration.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

From my first call with Emily & Melissa, I felt at ease and safe. Not only were they beyond professional, they navigated the conversation and asked questions beyond any typical florist would to ensure the cohesion of our wedding day was top tier. They truly take your vision and inspiration and turn it into a reality. They are 5 steps ahead thinking of the next thing and if there is anything else that may make your day just even that much more beautiful. I could not imagine having chosen anyone else for our wedding day. Florals was where I was stressing the most and they made it the easiest part of the wedding planning process.

    Fairy Meadow Flowers

    Hamden, CT
    • Starts at $4,500
    • Serves Jim Thorpe, PA

My name is Isabelle, and I grow chemical free, regenerative flowers and herbs on 3/4 of an acre in Hamden, CT. I truly love working on these blooms from start to finish, and I hope to get to share some of the beauty with you on your special day.

    Awarded Best of Zola
My husband Kevin and I got married in Simsbury, CT on 10/15/22 and had the most perfect day imaginable. This was in large part thanks to Isabelle and Unison. When we first started planning our wedding, we sought out to find as many LGBTQ vendors as possible, so finding Fairy Meadow (based out of our beloved neighborhood, at the time) was a true dream come true. I can't begin to express how easy the whole process was, from start to finish. When we first spoke over the phone, we shared our budget, a bare bones vision for our florals (dahlias, dahlias, and more dahlias!!!) and Isabelle took it from there. What we were greeted with upon entering the tent on our big day, was truly picture perfect. THE COLORS. The florals that Isabelle grows in her own backyard are truly mind boggling. Our guests are STILL commenting on how beautiful they are--especially because we sent a sample off to have professionally pressed (through a recommendation utilized directly from Isabelle). If you are looking for a local team who is passionate about growing sustainably and prioritizes communication, collaboration, and remembers what this business is all about, truly look no further. We truly can't recommend Isabelle and Unison enough. It was a dream to work with them, and I wish we could do it over and over again :)

We knew the floral aesthetic were going to be a key to bring component for bringing to life the centering our BIG Black Queer Love. Since it was a very intentional Black queer celebration honoring our love and commitment, the floral choices and expertise Andrew brought was the linchpin to success, from the very beginning with our first "Get-to-know-each-other" call throughout the process including a venue walk-through up right through the big day. He ensured each detail of our wedding arrangements conveyed our intention while centering our rustic elegant color palette -- a compliment to the autumnal mountain backdrop and made us feel so seen. The impeccable creativity Andrew brought to our more traditional accents -- the bridal bouquet and boutonniere, reception harlow stands -- were equally as elevated and aesthetically eye-dropping the energetic accents and more customized requests -- our flower-adorned chuppah, the ceremony wagon for the flower girl, and the floral chandelier. Andrew's energy is infectious and his preparation and seamless operation always gave us one less thing to worry about during the planning process.
