I discovered my passion for events when I was in the midst of planning my own wedding over 17 years ago! My ultimate goal as your florist and event designer is to implement the strategies that I have learned, to make your planning process as stress-free as possible.

We're a wedding floral design studio based in Birmingham, Alabama, and we travel wherever the blooms take us. We love to use seasonal ingredients, distinctive color palettes, and organic movement and texture to create refined florals that reflect our couples' individual stories and help foster memorable weddings. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. Wood & Word Blooms is run by a Jen Angle, former teacher of 20+ years and specializes in using hand-painted wood flowers along with a faux, dried and preserved florals (nothing fresh here) to bring your wedding vision to life not just for that one glorious day but forever. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

I discovered wood flowers when I was planning my wedding in 2020. From that point I fell in love and Tipsy Designs blossomed! Since then, we have done several weddings, even was hired by the football hall of fame in Canton Ohio in August 2023.

My experience comes from a great teacher, my mother...Linda Langley Gosdin. I went to Ranburne High School, then to Ayer State College (Gadsden State) and Carroll Tech(West Georgia State). I have a business and accounting degree, marketing and floral degree. The most profitable of knowledge came from hands on being raised in the floral industry since I was three years of age. Years of being in this field has brought me close to a lot of people. I have seen things through their eyes of joy in planning a dream wedding to the crying and sadness of mourning a loved one. I feel each emotion and take everything to heart.
