“I hired The Polar Peddler for the floral decor for my wedding and I was stunned with how perfectly Dana just 'got' my vision! I asked for jewel tones with an emphasis on varying texture. I didn't have many 'must have' flowers but I did have a few I liked and a few I didn't, and that's all I had to tell her! I had purchased some dyed/dried florals and peacock feathers before I organized with Dana and she was even willing to add these items in for me! When she showed up the morning of, I was astounded at how well she made it look like those elements were part of the plan the entire time. I can't tell you how many compliments that I got on the florals throughout the night and as the bride, having so many of your friends and loved ones complimenting your vendors so highly is such a win! Not to mention the numerous times I was told by basically anyone who communicated with Dana the day of just how sweet and helpful she was! “I had received a floral arrangement from Fleur de Lis before we got engaged and I had noted how beautiful and elevated it was, so when it was time to look at wedding florists, Lana (the owner) was the first one we called. Our consultation went so well - I was not 100% sure what I wanted, but showed some Pinterest inspiration and Lana asked all the right questions and showed us options on tabletop decor, flowers for the arrangements and bouquets/boutonnieres. We left feeling so confident and excited to receive the proposal - which we received super quick and signed immediately - we were so impressed with all of the details and pricing was very in line with what we were hoping for (we got married during Christmas time and the club was already going to be heavily decorated, so we didn't need as much as a bare venue would ). Some wedding florists in the area won't even talk with you unless you can meet a high $ minimum - Lana is not that way. She and her awesome team will provide the best service and the highest quality product for every single customer - which says a lot! On to wedding day... through all of our interactions, I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day of - which was an amazing weight off my chest! The team showed up and set everything up well before it needed to be, and when we got our bouquets, I wanted to cry happy tears - they were PERFECT and everything that I had hoped they would be. The flowers were stunning, fresh, and such high quality. Everything was arranged and put together so well and they lasted and stayed beautiful all day. The boutonnieres, grandmother's corsage, and mother's mini bouquets were also perfection. During the cocktail hour we did a first look at the reception area and again, it was perfect. Tabletop decor, florals, candles, votives, etc. was everything we discussed and more. We could not have been happier to have Fleur de Lis as our florist on our wedding day - Lana and her team truly deliver, and we SO appreciate everything they did to make our day beautiful and special - THANK YOU!”

I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

“From the moment I said yes, I knew florals would be the highlight of decor for our wedding day. Flowers hold such sentimental value for me because I’d spend my springs planting hundreds of annuals with my baba: zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, marigolds, begonias, etc. Going to my grandparents house was like going to a magical flower garden, and I wanted to recreate that feeling for our guests. After seeing Misha’s previous floral designs, I knew she would be able to bring what I had in mind to life; she did that and then some. The florals she lined my aisle with were exactly what I pictured: lush, whimsical, fun and filled with purples, oranges and greens. Those florals were then repurposed as centerpieces in the main reception tent and somehow became even more mystical underneath that lighting. On our way to the tent, we were amazed at the flowers on the seating chart wall. Dahlias and snapdragons, two of my absolute favorites… in colors that left me feeling the moody, romantic vibe I wanted and had described in design meetings with Misha leading up to the day. The flowers that adorned the tent’s entrance and up the poles created the most magical atmosphere. Sitting at our sweetheart table, we were surrounded by more florals that were repurposed from the ceremony; this time I believe from the gazebo, one of the most sentimental pieces of the day. Our reception tent really felt like a magical flower garden filled with our favorite people; exactly what we wanted for our wedding day.”

“The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”

“Jessica was a joy to work with! She understood what I wanted and totally delivered. So professional and friendly... try angel. I ordered my bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres from Brook Hill Flowers, but got 2 DIY boxes of flowers from Wegman's in Frederick. However, my BFFs who helped me organize and decorate my wedding (at my home) were all thumbs the morning of and needed help putting all the vases together. When Jessica came to drop off the bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres, she asked if there was anything she could help with and my MOH ran over and asked for her help.
