Blue Dahlia Wooden Florals, LLC

5.0

Biddeford, ME

My business started when I was planning my own wedding. I love flowers, but we couldn't justify spending hundreds or thousands on real flowers to throw them away in a week when we also found out we were expecting our first child at the same time. In came wood flowers! After much practice, I discovered I have an eye for colors and floral design and now 4 years and MANY weddings and THOUSANDS of home decor pieces later, this is not only my passion but it is also my full time business. No side hustle here! You will have my undivided attention. I'll make sure your floral dreams come to life in wood and the best part, they LAST FOREVER!

We worked with Blue Dahlia Designs for our floral needs for our wedding. Working with Katie was easy and efficient. She worked patiently with us to get our flowers exactly how we wanted them, and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out (:

We loved working with Zofia for our wedding Oct 7 2023. From the start she was attentive and answered all questions we had. Before booking we had a consult call where she mapped out how things would go and everything went as planned. She was also really flexible when we had a venue change! I cannot say how beautiful our florals were, our guests and the venue were absolutely buzzing about them. We will be recommending Zofia to everyone and hope to use her for events to come!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

        5.0

        Oklahoma City, OK
        • Serves Hampstead, NH

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

        Awarded Best of Zola
I used Flower Moxie for our wedding florals and cannot recommend them enough. I started the process with them in August 2022 for our December 2022 wedding. There was a consultation with a florist, Cristen, who looked at my Pinterest and asked me a lot of questions to help understand my vision, budget, and what specific elements of my inspo photos I liked. She walked me through the flowers on the website that we’d use or rule out. A couple weeks later, she sent me a full “recipe” of all the flowers with a vision board image, as well as affordable suggestions of where to get supplies and what I would need. They definitely don’t push using their supplies exclusively. I decided to make some changes, specifically adding lighter colored roses, and she made some gorgeous suggestions that I was so thrilled with. I placed my order at the end of September. The Thursday before my Sunday wedding, we picked up the flowers from the airport and prep them, which was actually staggeringly easy. On Saturday, all my bridesmaids came over for a “build your own bouquet” party, which turned out to be ridiculously fun and not difficult at all! The videos and tips on the Flower Moxie website make it foolproof, especially since I liked a wilder look. We stuck everything in vases and trimmed and wrapped them on the day of the wedding. It was so, so easy and fun! The quality and customer service were 10/10, too. I had some proteas damaged in transit, and they gave me tips on how to remove leaves to fix the look. Otherwise, the flowers were perfect, super high quality, and looked GORGEOUS. I literally just got rid of the last of them, that’s how hard and long-lasting they were. The price was super reasonable for the quantity/quality received.

        Something Borrowed Blooms

        4.8

        Lafayette, LA
        • Starts at $250
        • Serves Hampstead, NH

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

Truthfully, I don’t believe I ever inquired with a local florist for our wedding because I already had an idea from other brides (and from order minimums listed online), and I knew I didn’t want to allocate a significant budget to decor, but I also wanted a gorgeous and elegant wedding, which certainly includes florals. I started looking into faux floral options and came across SBB. Once I found this company, I never looked back. We ordered a sample box and also visited a bridal shop in CT that carried some of their pieces to see them in person. We originally selected the Wren collection, but then last year they launched the Eloise collection, which we immediately switched to. The florals were absolutely stunning, and even our friends who knew they were fake, were shocked and confused when they saw them because they thought they were real! The rental process was a breeze. We ended up having the order shipped straight to Owl’s Nest so that we didn’t have to transport it up ourselves. The boxes are labeled so you know exactly what is in each box, and how to pack it back up to ship back. There is also an option to buy some of the pieces and keep them as well if you wanted to keep something for sentimentality. They have a Facebook group (SBB Insiders) where other brides share their photos and any creative ways they used their rentals, which was also so helpful to see the real photos! The company itself also releases how-to videos for various arrangements, and you can even schedule live styling sessions to work one on one virtually to see the pieces and how they would work for you. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and everyone!! I’d also love to use it again in the future for other events!

When I say I am obsessed, I truly mean it. Between working with me to find the perfect color combination, and incorporating the flowers I wanted I was in awe with how they all came out. Plus the personal touch of the word bloom, with the lyrics to our first dance song made not only me tear up, but many of my guests and family were blown away by that piece too. Would HIGHLY recommend and have been recommending to anyone who is looking for another personal touch and beautiful keep sakes

        Nashua, NH
        • Starts at $4,000
        • Serves Hampstead, NH

I started my business in 2018, after I finished floral design classes from Cass School of Floral in Watertown, MA. I have had hands on experience from Floral Arts in Westford, MA and have completed over 15 weddings in my time as a floral designer. I have a little intern named Larry, a corgi-pit mix, who is the model for Little Blooms, who you will see a lot of on Instagram. I love using locally grown flowers as much as I can in my work, to really showcase 'farm to florist'.

We were so excited to work with Danielle and were not disappointed! It was a blast getting to know her style on social media and we were so excited when we saw her post showing that our bouquets were "dance-proof!" We used her "broken arches" for our wedding ceremony and received so many compliments. Everyone was taking photos with it after the ceremony and throughout the evening. We were very loose with our guidelines/floral preferences (like the wildflower look with navy and blush colors) and were so impressed with her as an artist. In addition to the bouquets and broken arches, we had boutonnieres and centerpieces for cocktail hour and the reception with vessels. All the flowers looked good throughout the evening and many lasted into the following week.

We had a great experience with Tess @ Floralia. I was referred through a friend who's wedding I had been to - and I loved the flowers at her wedding. From the very beginning Tess was attentive to all of our needs. We had a call at the very beginning to go over broad strokes and inspiration images, then many emails in between until we got closer to the date. I'm thankful she was able to catch all of my back and forth decision making. In the end the flowers came out beautifully. Since I did not have 1 color for my bridesmaids (I gave them a tonal range), I was worried the flowers might clash, but Tess did a wonderful job in matching hues and colors to what I had envisioned. Would refer anyone looking for a florist with an eye for detail and creativity.

I did a lot of searching and looking into different diy flower companies. As soon as I came across bloom culture and read some of the reviews I knew I wanted to go with them! Alison was so friendly and personable and so easy to work with. She helped put me at ease by answering all of my questions and even helped me to swap out a couple of the flowers in one of the packages to better match my vision for my wedding. I was a little nervous about the flowers lasting all the way until the wedding day (my wedding was on a Sunday and they arrived Wednesday) but by the day of they had opened up beautifully and looked amazing. There were also hardly any flowers damaged or broken when they arrived. With all of the detailed instructions and recipes they provided, putting together the flowers was honestly a breeze once we got started. We didn’t follow the instructions specifically because I had a different number of bouquets, center pieces, etc. that I need to make, but the recipes and instructions were still super helpful. I also watched Alison’s YouTube videos beforehand which helped a ton! Overall very happy with the quality of the flowers, the price, and the excellent customer service. Cannot recommend enough!
