“This venue takes the stress out of the day and since you are already spending so much on your day, take the stress out of it by booking this Venue. The Waterfront Hotel crew was absolutely FANTASTIC and made our day perfect. Booking this venue saved us from having to rent a party bus-saving us at least 3,000 for this area. ALSO the day of coordinator was AMAZING and assisted with any questions I had. As if this place couldn't get any better, the venue had HALF of the decorations that I needed- a life saver when we live over 3 hours away. I have thought long and hard about a downfall for this venue-- I have yet to find one. Book now and don't think twice!”

“Chestnut Mountain Resort is an absolutely amazing place to get married. The views are spectacular, the staff at the venue are beyond kind and caring, and the amenities were great! My husband and I wanted to get married in a state closer to family. So we did a destination wedding here at Chestnut Mountain Resort. We are from California and have never been to Galena, IL before. As any bride to be can assume, planning a destination wedding just adds a whole new layer of worry and stress to wedding planning. But! Shera made the whole process a BREEZE! She worked with my husband and I to ensure that all our needs were met, that all our questions were answered, and genuinely put my mind at ease that my wedding day would be wonderful. Shera communicated with us every step of the way and made sure to explain everything (even when I asked the same question like 5 times due to wedding planning brain). I honestly couldn’t imagine our wedding having been anywhere else! If Chestnut Mountain Resort is on your list of venue contenders, BOOK THEM! The whole place is beautiful!”
