When you choose the Rochester Art Center, you will get more than just a unique and historic venue. Rochester Art Center is located along the Zumbro River in downtown Rochester, MN, with easy access to the Skyways, hotels, and restaurants. The modern architecture of the Art Center features panoramic views of the city to the West, Mayo Memorial Park to the East, and the river to the South. This open space allows for dynamic design customized to your taste. If your guest list is long, the Mayo Civic Centers ballroom is the ultimate place in Rochester to host your wedding. Located on the skyway, acoustical panels for quality sound, and high-end finishes to complement any decorating scheme. Mayo Civic Center was modernized and expanded, making it an even more picturesque and stylish venue for weddings. No, we have an in-house bar.
Yes, Park FREE in any City ramp on weekdays after 5 PM and until 1 AM and weekends from 9 AM to 1 AM. We are connected Via skywalk
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances, hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff.

Usually, the photographer does sit at a table where they can see the head table. This table is typically on the outside of your layout so they can get up and move around easily, and on the side of the room where the bar and DJ are located.
Yes. You are allowed to hang up decorations where there are hooks installed already. This helps eliminate our couples from putting nails or holes in the walls.
No flame candles are allowed in the art center.
We have attached centerpieces that you can use for florals or flameless candles.
We do have easels here that you can rent for $12 each. They are a nice solid black color.
If you say you want to host a certain dollar amount of drinks and then on the night of, you want to add more hosted items, you will be required to pay the difference.
We ask that you choose one salad option (we can make a special salad for anyone with dietary restrictions). You can have 3 different entrées.
There is no fee for bringing in an outside dessert. We ask for the name of the business and what time they would be arriving to set up the desert table so we can meet them. If you get a dessert from another vendor, we don’t service the dessert, so we ask that you do a self-serve station for the guests to grab from.
We have a portable screen and projector that will be added to your BEO and that will come with an additional charge.

If we don’t have any events that night before in that room, you are able to come by and set it up and we can block that off for you.
I will send you a few graphics vis email that I have regarding parking around our facility. The easiest is to park in the attached ramp and walking to the Civic Center via Skyway.
Yes, you can have a guest come to move floral arrangements. Our team is more than happy to help get the candles turned on for you. v
We do have security and ushers that can assist your guest entering via the Skyway. If you would like to put signs on the plaza outside of the civic center to direct them to the Rochester Art Center, you can do so.
A corded microphone, set up of chairs, rehearsal the night before and taking down of the chairs.
For desserts, you can have any licensed vendor that you may wish.
No, we will supply the table and linens.
Yes, we have a preferred vendors list, but you are not subject to reach out to any of them. We do require contact information so we can get a hold of them for any questions that we might have.
If you wanted to do something outside, this might something permittable. We just don’t allow anything with flames or heat within the building.
This insurance covers any accidents that could happen during an event (ex. Someone were to fall and need an ambulance, you decide to have a sparkler sendoff which resulted in a fire, someone damages property, etc.). You can get insurance through us, or your own insurance carries and for the 1.9 million in required coverage.
The fee is typically $250 if submit the policy through our in-house insurance. If you decide to add a rider to your homeowner’s policy, no fee is required.
