After I finished my PhD in genetics and molecular biology at Yale, I left behind a career as a research scientist to pursue a lifelong dream as a professional sax player. While the pandemic was a roadblock to many musicians, I managed to gain momentum as a street performer when I began hosting outdoor concerts for the local entertainment-deprived graduate students. A few of my fellow graduates asked me to perform at their weddings, and even DJ, so I spent the next two years honing my skills and constructing a very 80's synthwave-style brand and equipment to match the vibe.

Katelyn Soat (Owner) graduated from college in May of 2019 from the University of Dubuque with a degree in Fine and Performing Arts. In 2016, Katelyn started her own DJ service catering to weddings.
