At Historic Shady Lane, we believe every couple deserves the chance to have their dream wedding in a beautiful setting. The 34-acre property contributes to the rich history of this 1770 private estate. With gorgeous views and gardens, a magical glass and stone greenhouse, and a white frame tent complete with draping and chandeliers, Historic Shady Lane is a wedding venue made for creating memories that are true to you. Built in 1918, the Carlisle Ribbon Mill was a functioning ribbon mill until 1987. The building sat mostly empty until the MCcarren family bought the property in 2003. They spent the next few years bringing it back to life and 2006 started restoration on what is now the Carlisle Ribbon Mill Banquet Facility.

This building was built by C. Emlen Urban in 1925 and is the first and only skyscraper built in the Lancaster area, making it a prominent Landmark for decades to come.
